How are you finding that info. My truck has a permanent VIN, still sitting in port. Using the Toyota app, it requires a bar code from the truck's info screen. I'm not able to get any "real" truck data, just basic info.

He's got the truck. It's inside the data.

So Vitamins has the OP's truck that's sitting in port? I don't think I'm understanding.

"Picked up truck 13 June 24."

I think that means he has it.

I don't know. Perhaps he'll chime in. It's my impression he has the truck and has figured out how to read the history.

Got it. Vitamins was referring to his own experience. (Well fuck, maybe not IDK :)). Thought he was doing some digging for the OP's vehicle. For the OP, FWIW, I'm being told 4-6 weeks also. Current arrivals are coming in about 8 weeks after build date currently. But that does seem to vary by region. I'm in the Mountain region.

Yes this is my truck. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The time frames I posted will help you, random person, understand how long things take from the order date to the time it is driven out of the factory.

You can look online and see the order date on Toyota's website. Just with the vehicle specification tool.

Now that you know the order date, and you know that it takes approximately 2 1/2 months from the order until it is driven out of the factory to the loading docks or the shipping yard and all the bribes are paid, that gives you some idea on the actual manufacturing process times.

The other thing I would do is just reference the Toyota inventory tracker. This is not some secret inventory tracker. This is literally just the thing where you click on the Toyota webpage "search inventory." The little clickers on the left to choose exactly your specific model. So maybe you're getting a Trd sport in white with a 5 foot four-wheel-drive. Just click all those options. Your truck will then show up on that page at some point. And it will list the anticipated arrival time to the dealer. This is updated real time. As you get closer to the actual delivery date, the timeframe window will shrink because the zone of uncertainty, much like a hurricane path, gets more and more precise.

It is remarkably accurate. It is more accurate than Amazon's delivery times. It is updated real time with the estimated ETA. Once it arrives at the dealership, understand that it is between a one and four day process for one to do the PDI.

During the PDI, they'll slap their dealer sticker on the back, peel the plastic off of most things, over inflate your tires, and scratch your paint with a dust wand to clean all of the road debris from the rail cars off.

It's a few hour job from what I understand.

Probably sitting next to mine @ Port Lazaro Cardenas. Vitamins suggestion via Toyotas inventory tracker works well. If you can find vehicles in transit to your dealer/area, click on the window sticker link (you won’t have one for yours yet, I don’t have one for mine either). Note the large date printed on the window sticker and also note the estimated delivery date. These time between is the “delivery time”. Usually it’s pretty consistent (6-8 weeks here). My mfg date was supposedly 07/03 and my VIN number is about 1300 higher than yours, so what you’re being told by the dealer looks accurate.

Idk about the 'Search Inventory" accuracy..seems a little hit or miss. Mine has a perm vin and still says its in the build phase. Some that show temp vins have an estimated availability date which doesn't make sense if they arent even built yet.

Looking at Toyota’s inventory for your area ( not including El Paso, since that should be in a different region), it looks like they’re projecting 6-7 weeks for delivery. The models that are now in transit have a sticker print date of 06-04-24 and should above around the end of the month. We’re in the same distribution region and tacomas here are arriving pretty close to the estimated date….so far. Weather conditions, QC holds, and other unexpected shit does happen. Let’s hope it doesn’t cuz we’re in the same boat and our trucks probably are too. I’m expecting it more toward late August/early Sept, although my sales person is saying 4-6 weeks.

Basically means it’s built and waiting in port for a carrier. The ‘window sticker’, I’m guessing, gets printed when the truck actually leaves port. Your salesperson should be able to confirm your build. Mine confirmed build is completed, transported to Lazaro Cardenas and now waiting. I haven’t seen any with estimated delivery dates that aren’t built, although I have seen individual dealers label their inventory as in transit (but no delivery date) when Toyota has it in “build”.

my truck has been sitting at lazarez cardenas for about two weeks now. I just found out, in my own stupid way, they gimped the SR 4 cyl engine for less torque and HP than the fucking v6 its replacing!!!! might go with a rav4 or a suburu at that price, I love having a truck but the prices and a WORSE, less reliable, same gas mileage, slower engine for 5k more than a 2023 new? uglh.
