Ok, a walk down memory lane it is......

First new bike I owned, 1985 Honda VF500F Interceptor I put over 8k miles on it in just over my first year.

Traded that in on a 1987 Cagiva Allazura Super Sport 650. Ducati Pantah engine, gorgeous bike and paint but a total lemon. Not sure I even had it 6 months it spent more time at the dealership than under my ass.

Traded that one in on a leftover 1985 Yamaha FJ1100 in July of 1987. Bought it while I had a week off and got the 600 mile service done only 4 days after I picked it up. Kick myself for selling it to this day.

I put almost 60k miles on that bike and actually bought a second one as a parts bike that yielded some tasty upgrades including a later FJ1200 front end with 4 piston brakes. See below.

In the early 1990's I first started hearing about Erik Buell and his plans for an American sportbike. I liked the idea but the first models were way out of my range. By 1995 that had improved.

I even got to take it home to where it was born! And to meet the man who designed it.

I went on to add a second Buell to the fleet.

I sold the FJ1100 to purchase the bike above, a 1996 Buell S-2T their touring model.

Around 2010 I picked up the Honda CB400F that I own. Of course it wasn't this nice when I bought it.

One year just to get it running under it's own power. Another 18 months to where it looks like the pic above. In August of 2012 someone traded this in at the HD dealership so I gave it a new home.

My first FJR1300, a 2007 that had 8600 miles on it. This went on to be the bike that introduced me to the Iron Butt Association and long distance riding. I put almost 120k miles on it in roughly 7 years. Sadly some asshole in TN hit me head on and destroyed this beautiful machine. Exactly one week later I picked this up.

And finally last Thanksgiving added this to the garage.

No new pictures or great stories on my end, boring shot of bringing it home earlier this year though.

    Question for ya

My helmet Snell certification has aged out. I hate to just toss it...anything that I can do with it as far as a donation to somewhere?

All my pics are phone these days, DSLR is too much effort for something that'll never get printed larger than a regular photograph.

SM if the tires from the other pics didn't give it away. Debating whether I should have gone with the dual sport, too late now though.

Local track or groups around your area might be able to find it a home.

    couple randoms...

Found this ad searching the interwebs the other day... the 70s Sears 5hp minibike pictured on the left was my first bike as a kid. It was a clunker and not taming any trails. I remember first time riding it I immediately whisky throttled and crashed lol

And one of my favorite roads/pics...

ah i see it now lol my bad! tbh having the sm isnt a terrible idea thou. yes you get less front travel but you already have the sm wheels which are expensive to go to if you want them later on... so now you just need to buy a set of dirt wheels and tires and go out and have fun!
lots of fun bikes it looks like!
like that pic! also i forgot but do you have different seats then the oem ones? are are they suppose to be that plushy lol

I've donated a couple of old helmets to fire departments or ambulance clubs for training purposes. Woman I used to work with was on a volunteer ambulance crew and she's the one who actually suggested it to me. Now whenever I have one that needs replaced that's what I do.

Anyone finding any decent prime day deals? I just got a NOCO LiFePo4 battery for the CT90 20% off. Have one in the Grom already and a different brand of li-ion in the BMW, never going back to lead acid if I can avoid it.

Just picked up this electric garage heater for half off. I've been looking at this for awhile and had it saved, but half off I jumped on it. It's big enough to take the chill of for that occasional winter time garage project. I also purchased the remote wall mounted thermostat for it.

Limited-time deal for Prime Members: Dr. Infrared Heater DR-975 7500-Watt 240-Volt Hardwired Shop Garage Electric Heater, Wall/Ceiling Mounted with Remote Controlled Thermostat Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M8KXXAB
