Moderator edit: we are investigating various complaints as of Monday October 7th 2024. Order at your own risk.

I am able to source oem low mileage cv axles with a 6 month warranty included for no extra cost.

Pricing is $150 a piece. (Shipped)

Please private message me for more info (pics of vehicle the axles will come off of, mileage on axles, etc)

example of some oem axles ive been selling on TW the past year:IMG_4530.jpg

I used to ship orders of them to my house then ship them to TW users but i would like to ship them directly to you guys to cut down on shipping costs.

Just to share for knowledge and compatability, these would be factory axle part number 43430-04071?

According to various Toyota dealer parts sites, this particular part number would be compatible with 2nd gens as well as 3rd gens:
    https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-cv-axle-left-right-front-4343004071

If so, this would be a great deal for trail spares and I'll definitely be PM'ing you to pick one up. Cheers!

Can you quantify “low mile” at all? Under 50k? 150k? That term can be different to different people.. o_O

And would these be in good enough shape to use as replacement axles or are the seals banged up enough they’d be better suited for spares/temp use? Doing a pretty comprehensive refresh on my 2G which will include CV’s; was going to buck up for new so the next 200k are about as smooth sailing as the first, but, who doesn’t mind saving a little cash these days..thanks!

Putting an example below that already sold. I try to find them under 50k miles. I would say they are good replacement axles, however the seal on the outer is usually banged up on them for whatever reason when they show up. So I would plan on reusing the existing one you have or order a oem oneIMG_4547.jpg

Sorry everyone I forgot to follow up here. Received my axle and everything was pretty fast, think it only took a couple days. Here’s what mine looks like and I believe it came out of a newer 3rd gen with like 40k miles according to the messages. Looks to be in quite good condition and even the seals aren’t terrible. Plenty good enough for my intended use as a trail spare. Cheers!

To be clear, the Toyota part number is different, but the aftermarket part numbers are the same between the 4runner and the Tacoma. Hopefully that means Toyota improved them. The 4th gen 4Runner axles are known for having the boots come loose in one of the grooves. But I haven't heard of people having that problem on 3rd Gen Tacomas. I'm going to put one in a 4Runner soon, so I'll see if there are any visual differences.
