SXS vs 3rd Gen

 

If that were out here I would immediately fault the SxS, they're fuckin assholes on the trails

last time I wheeled I was running out of nerves to deal with this group of SxS that was ripping up and down the trail back and forth and would try to wedge past me without even giving me a chance to get over

Last summer I was doing the Genoa peak ride on my dirt bike and almost got hit 3 times by different sxs. All rentals with people that had no business driving them.

Damn! There are much better ways and body parts to stop that puck.

 

Status update. Completed the hardest thing of physically done.

Legs cramped/spasmed out at mile 8, despite the energy gels and electrolytes I was taking in. After refueling at an aid station at mile 11 the spasms stopped. It was a literal death march from then on. I fell a few times and my legs would tighten up so bad I felt like Leonardo DiCaprio in the Revenant (or that one scene in The Wolf of Wall Street?) Just crawling around to get back on the trail.


Truck has handled driving through Idaho, down to Salt Lake, and now I’m back in Colorado. I’ll see how things go on the drive back to Texas tomorrow.

That distance is nothing on my ebike lmao. My gravel bike on the other hand i be dead lol

 

I’m visiting most of my friends up here for like half a day each. I really wish I had the leave to make this a ~14 day trip instead of 6-7.

I'm heading up to CO this weekend to last minute volunteer at High Lonesome 100. I'm considering it for my first 100 next year!! (something might be wrong with me).
