I wanna change my exhaust like I had on my old truck but I've read about people getting a really bad drone. What worked for you? What did you try that didn't work? For reference my old truck had a Flowmaster Super 44 and it sounded great (4.0 V6).
I plan on doing two pipes out the back but I'm considering doing it on the corners. Has anyone done that? Not a fan of out the side.
FYI I have zero mods of any kind before the muffler, not even a K&N filter. I do have a KDMax tune though.

I run the super 44. I don’t have the drone.
    Sounds great, especially when hot

TRD Exhaust has been a good balance of adding some noise without highway speed drone or being so loud as to be obnoxious in normal driving, and has a deeper and lower pitch tone than most exhausts I've heard. Most of the aftermarket exhausts I've heard are either too loud or just don't do much to make an engine that doesn't have great sound qualities sound any better. Closest one based off sound I've seen has been the AFE dual exhaust I think, which is an actual dual exhaust.

I wanted to go true dual but the shop I talked to didn't recommend it.

I tested the MBRP exhaust. It lasted a weekend before it was pulled back off. The drone was way too loud. Then I ran a Borla for about 2 years. That was a lot better but as I spent more time in my truck, even that sound started to bother me. So I went back to the OEM exhaust. I had cut the pipe off and had a turn down tip welded on prior to switching it out. So that's how it sits now.
