In the good old days everyone had mud flaps and went through less windshields, common candadian gov't, implement mudflaps save production on windshields climate change is real, if you know you know what the fearless leader is doing up here.

My biggest design gripe with the Tacoma (And Tundra I think) is that they designed the fenders to appear to protrude out of the body (the actual body, not over-fenders). For example:

    Tacoma:
    Screenshot 2024-07-17 at 10.02.16 AM.png

The fender protrudes out, then in again, and then out again.

    Colorado:

The fender actually protrudes outwards. I saw a 24 Colorado up close for the first time the other day and IMO looks great.

The rear beside where it meets the bumper looks like it was designed after a Pelfreybuilt rear bumper, the lines look similar.

I have both a 23 Colorado and the 24 Tacoma. Both have the matte black fenders and its my least favorite thing. Something about the texture on them just holds mud so you can wash the paint but the fenders stay dirty. I think gloss fenders sound dumb but they will at least look clean after you wash it.

My 2021 Off-road doesn’t. They come clean hand washing, quarter car wash, or the robo wash.

If you made a video of your washing technique I would watch it and you could go viral.

The new Tacoma does protrude outwards… To be honest, I wish the Tacoma rear fender didn’t stick out cause it’s a rock catcher! Looks good but is my biggest complaint about the gen 4.

Which do you like better? Colorado or Tacoma? Why?

I really like them both. Colorado Trailboss is extremely capable offroad. Only real knocks on that trim is that the passenger seat sits on floor and makes you look like a child, and you cannot get heated seats/steering. Tacoma engine feels more refined. Base tacomas on the inside really dont feel great. My Tacoma is an Offroad Premium so no comparison there on the inside. I think if I had gotten a ZR2 first I would have probably kept it and never gotten the Taco. I had immediate issues with the Chevy dealership and went with Toyota for the anticipated reliability.

I have owned a Chevy and it was a nightmare when it comes to them standing behind their product. I had a recurring issue with mine through the warranty period. 4 failures within the three year period, and they didnt cover it after the warranty. I was 1,000 mile outside the warranty. I'll never go Chevy again.

That's funny but one of the main reasons I went with the Sport. I think the OF fenders do not look good other than on a black truck which I did not want black. I chose to go sport and if I need to modify to be more OF capable then I will. Something about rough, plastic black fenders are a pet peeve. Had the painted ones on our Wrangler as well and just put PPF on them for the branches.

Gulf States mafia. The blackout package is also a ripoff.

I think the Colorado Trailboss coming with aggressive good looks, stock blackout package and rims, fun new offroad tech and cameras was a homerun package for your weekend sportman at (2023 price) 40K. I have had alot of fun in that truck and we called it the mountain goat because of how sure footed it was in snow offroad. Toyota priced in their reputation and only time will tell if that holds with the 4th gen. I've had enough with the other manufacturers that I'm moving to Toyota. I love the complaining here. My Jeeps, Ram and Chevys have me a standing reservation with my mechanic.

Hell yeah brother. I think the color match is a premium look. Chose Offroad because I actually offroad but just put Rough Country's thick color matched fenders.
