1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I make banana bread with this coconut flower a while and and it turned out amazing so I'm trying to duplicate it to make sure it wasn't just a fluke

 

Never used coconut flour (tbh I didn't know it was a thing; I don't bake much) but I do like to use coconut oil for banana bread.

 

Yeah brass is good for that.

 

now I wanna know if it's actually good or if it was a magic fluke...waiting...

 

It seemed a little on the runny side going into the oven.

Even if they are terrible at least the house smells amazing.

Coconut flower is kinda crazy because you only need about 1/4 of the amount of flower but you also need extra eggs with it

We bought the flower during covid shortages because that's all we could get

 

Runny + eggs = higher fat content

Means once it's done baking, it'll be really moist

Depan, and leave it on that cooling rack!

So the whole "depan" was because moisture will collect at the bottom, making it "soggy" in a nasty sort of way

Putting it on the cooling rack will allow the outside to firm up for a light crust

 

I thought it might have been too wet from the start.

It's a deliciously sticky mess.

The mechanic still hasn't gotten back to me. I'm kinda worried that he's stumped as well now. Either that or he's gotten side-tracked. Idk, it might be the end of the road for this truck. At least it gave me a couple years of solid motoring.

 

Since you're already giving up, $300 for the 5vz, I want a spare, and $200 for the R150, I will grenade mine eventually, take it or leave it

 

The whole truck might be coming up for 2500 OBO, including the sliders and fairly new KM3s. Idk, I'm still hoping for good news from the mechanic, but I feel if it was something simple he would've gotten back to me by now.
