Ya you lose the headliner and everything on the back wall. The access cabs door interior panels have the be cut some but you keep the majority of it. On my truck a small spot of the passenger and drives door interior panel had to be notched.

Finally found a retained, locking stubby dipstick for a 4L80E. Guys gonna overnight it for me

Can't you just add AN line to those to make it any length and then just make the dipstick part with cable?

 

Yeah, I couldn't really come up with a great way to extend the actual dipstick itself.

 

not going to lie I cut up a braided toilet hose to get me by on the bouncer (TH400) for a trip worked just fine!

Looks like somebody made something to meet the hood closer to prevent crap being splashed into the engine bay.

 

That is so awesome, I'm confident in my welding ability I'm current on a few certs from work, but it's all the fabrication and electrical that spooks me lol. Especially taking the dash apart
