With 0% APR lol, probably not on the Raptor. Paying $10k more for the Raptor only makes sense. IDK what Trailhunters are going for, but I see 2024 Tremors listed at discount, below TH MSRP, and there's always Grainger and their below invoice pricing.

I can't say a fullsize domestic is the same as a midsize Tacoma, but anyone price shopping can make that decision.

With the addition of the Trailhunter and being a 4dr. Toyota could offer an XC Pro, keep the ISO seats as an option, the rear link should be compatible with the XC frame, supposedly its the same frame. I don't think Toyota could get $65k for an XC, but I think an XC Pro would be a better truck than the DC.

    That would be cool.

I think Toyota is looking to market the hybrids as a kind of “super truck.”

If toyota came out with a premium access cab/Pro trim with the hybrid and 6ft bed, that would be an instant buy for me. Agreed on the backseats with the Pro - there should be an access cab option with those ISO seats as it appears the backseats are somewhat useless.

At this point I am hesitant to believe a hybrid Max Taco would win in a drag race against the new 4 cylinder Ranger (which isn't a hybrid). But I get that trucks aren't really meant for being quick.

Based on the numbers on the web, it definitely won't. You'll most likely notice the extra down low torque in the Max, but it will not get you to 60 much quicker than the regular 2.4T

It sucks because in Canada if we want cooled seats and the auto lift tailgate we have to buy the hybrid premium (it's what the call it in Canada)

The dealer texted tonight saying that they have iForce MAX models on the lot now. He sent me a spec sheet of a TRD Sport MAX.

I didn't expect unsold MAX models to be on dealer lots for quite some time.

The hybrid pricing isn’t going to make sense to most buyers.

I don’t think any of the Gen 4 price points are going to be accepted by the Taco market.

I agree the Taco isn't a drag racer. But a lot of people enjoy good acceleration regardless of what vehicle they're in.

Does the 700hp Escalade V make sense? No. Do people want the crap out of it? Yes.

Need a big v8 if you are looking for raw spe
I can tell you as a new owner of a TRD Pro. Acceleration is not an issue. This truck is fast. Is it a race car? Not even close. However it is fast. It’s powerful enough to do anything you would ask a mid-size truck to do. That’s it. It’s not a v8 that’s going to tow 16,000pounds through the mountains. It’s not made for that.

The new taco is smooth. It’s quiet. Nothing rattles. The paint is fine. Everything works just like it’s supposed to so far. Will it hold the line? I don’t know. Only time will tell.

Given I am bias now that I own one. But there are crazy rumors out there all over the internet about how “shitty” the new Tacoma is. It’s a flop etc. Now I can only speak to my truck as it’s the only 4th gen I have spent longer than 20 minutes in. But those people saying it’s trash are not being honest or have not driven one and are just floating assumptions for view on the internet.

My only complaint so far. Is the truck was too damn expensive. The Tacoma should have been about $12,000 cheaper across the to board. But what you gonna do? Everything is expensive now and it doesn’t matter how enraged the internet gets. Toyota is not going to start giving them away.

The issues are way overblown, amplified by the fact that a couple of big name YouTubers had issues on theirs. If you look on Ranger/Colorado/Canyon forums you'll see no shortage of people having various issues. Most of these are YouTubers just looking for clicks and sheep taking their word.

Enjoy your truck. The previous gen Pro was expensive, too.
