Not trying to troll or piss anyone off because this is only my opinion but these 4th gen pros are pure Instagram trucks, from the hybrid engine, zero storage under seats, gloss fender flares, mid level fox shocks, tiny fuel tank, low payload, 18 inch wheels, Toyota road spec “all terrains”, power numbers that are suspect and a $70,000 price tag these are not meant to go off-road. They’re meant to look like they go off-road. The TNGA platform across all models has been a complete disappointment.

Keep an eye on your front tires. I have 1K miles on the odo and just noticed the front tires are starting to cant inwards. I guess a couple other guys are having the same issue. I'm taking it to the dealer in 2 days.

All valid points. I think most of us looking to buy a 4th Gen to wheel are looking at a TRD OR and going aftermarket for suspension, armor, etc. Its been that way since the PRO first came out.

Also, Toyota is carrying on a long tradition of creating an off road focused trim level, and putting the tamest tires as possible. These trucks would look so much better with a set of BFG AT's, Goodyear Duratracs or similar class of tire.

For the most part you are right. I don’t even live in the desert and I bought a TRD Pro. However I am not a steamer or instagram influencer. Nor am I a poser. I’m a middle aged guy who wanted a nice truck. Lol

I agree for the most part. I openly admit this truck is incredibly unlikely to ever go on in some people's opinion. "a real trail" I bought this truck because I could. I do however like the idea that it could be used for some crazy stuff, but I mostly just want a retro looking Tacoma that's fancy. #lifestyletruck lol
on a side note, I see plenty of vehicles around where I live with 20k in off road gear that have never left pavement. "Cough cough jeeps" in conclusion I hope you guys all enjoy seeing the truck. as for those couple jeep owners that may be on here, I was playing I'm driving a 70k "desert runner" in southwest mo.
