Tonneau Cover

Thanks to Luke Kyle at truckalterations.com for steering me towards the Lomax cover, easy to install and seems to fit perfectly on the 4th gen Tacoma.

We switched over to a Truxedo PROX15

 

Some might find the Fast-Top combo interesting. Mine's on order so I can't report more yet but they seem to have a good reputation. In addition, their JayBar rack system is compatible with the tonneau and topper. The soft topper is quick release too so very easy to have your bed free for something rough, dirty or a mess.

 

Looks nice I have a BAKflip Mx4 on the way.

 

I installed the Extang Solid Fold ALX. Price was reasonable (<$1K), bought from RealTruck, shipped within a week.
Not the lowest profile, but looks pretty good to me.
Install was pretty straightforward, uses the stock bed rails, mostly used the provided allen wrench for tools and only needed a socket wrench to install the rear latch strike plates.
Fitting and aligning the rear latch took the longest to get it just right. The seals look pretty tight, don't expect it'll let more water than a few drops.

 

Super clean install! Judging by the mud in the photo, it looks like it's holding up great!

Just installed my new Lomax Stand, came with special brackets and instructions but was easy to install. Works and looks great, very happy with it. Bonus no leaks.

 

Is there a link to the crossbars used here?

 

Looks identical to the Solid Fold 2.0 on my 2021, except they changed the clamps.

 

I just installed the Extang Solid Fold ALX Tonneau Cover from Real Truck also... I love the way it fits and looks... Easy installation with the included hardware to fit the stock bed rails!

I am thinking about a Diamondback cover. Not sure if I want the SE or Switchback.

I like the sturdiness of the SE. however the ability to fold up the Switchback is pretty cool.

 

Just installed a Lomax Stand, perfect fit with Taco mod and instructions. Love it, bed sealed from water rain or washing.

 

The black diamond mist finish looks perfect on your Tacoma! Awesome install!

 

Thanks, FYI whomever is spraying coating on the diamond plate is spraying from Rt Rear which leaves the Lt front sides of the diamond plate uncoated (silver). Lomax has stepped up and addressed the issue.

 

Thats the one I want..How was the install?
