I'm getting water dripping on my right foot and onto the carpet while driving my 2024 TRD Sport(with a sunroof if that matters), usually after a right hand turn. Its fairly regular and happens rain or shine. I've got an appointment booked with the dealer for next week, but wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Would like to go to the dealer with some idea of the cause.

Kinda sounds like a bad heater core, hopefully something more simple tho.

Not the first case of a cracked EVAP core box unfortunately.

If these cracks on the hvac box aren’t too bad I’d rather gets some urethane based bonding adhesive and seal the crack then have the whole dash taken apart. Just my 2cents for the folks that have the issue

My wife's Murano was leaking on the floor from the sunroof and so did my friend's Titan. In both cases, the drain tube that goes from the lip around the sunroof, down the A-pillar, down the ground was disconnected somewhere along the way.

Oh wow, so it is a common known issue. Looks like OP on that post got a new truck. I'm guessing my dealer wont be doing that. I'll find out next Monday what they plan to do.

Document everything. Especially the date and time you first went to the dealer for warranty services, conversations, etc.

    What state are you in?

I'd definitely take it to the dealer. If it's a cracked evaporator box, they'll fix it under warranty and you'll have a warranty on the repair. If they have to wait for parts, I'd insist on a loaner. Driving it with this problem will only make it worse and then you'll have mold problems later on.

Thanks, I will for sure. Located in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I'll be taking lots of pictures before and after repair. My biggest worry is the dealer taking apart my dash and re-assembling and screwing something up. Sucks to be dealing with this 2 months into ownership.

^If it's any comfort, the issue is inherited from later-year 3rd gens... Buddy's 2021 had the evaporator box leak. Apparently an ultrasonic weld seam wasn't watertight. Sealant/plastic adhesive fixed the issue.

Did they keep the truck? Or are you able to drive it until the replacement part comes in? Looks like this is a widespread problem and its going to cost Toyota a lot of money, and unhappy owners.

No it’s not. This was not common. Did it happen sure, but this seems to be a widespread part issue with the new truck.

Not sure yet! They just texted me the video saying what the problem is but they haven't actually called me yet.
