4th gen Tacoma turn signal/daylight running lamp upgrade

Has anyone installed these or have some form of instructions on how to install?

 

You know, when I first got my '24 Tacoma I thought that grill was a missed opportunity for some lighting. Now that I actually see it, I'm gonna go stand over there and pretend I never had that thought.

 

Yes, I purchased them but they came with no instructions….

 

Maybe without the separate panes?

I dunno. Maybe. But it might just be overkill on the lighting. I'm sure some will like it fine, it's just not for me.

 

Amazon full of paste on chrome strips, gonads, and sweet plastic engine compartment vents too…

 

Nothing says, "I drive a $50,000 vehicle" like a $78 Aliexpress grade mod.

 

I wouldn't trust the LED's to last for any amount of time, even if I liked them, which I don't.

do the oem ones just pop out or does the whole bumper have to come off??

 

The OEM ones pops out. They are wired into your turn signal. Depending on how bright they are you may need a DRL control module also.

 

I just wish that plastic grill was smooth, those grooves are going to make it fun cleaning splattered bugs. Since it pops off, is it dishwasher safe?

 

BD or rigid will be coming out with real light pods for those inserts....

 

Put some 3rd gen fogs in the microwave for a few minutes. They'd probably mold to fit once warm.

 

Yeah, I'm waiting to see if anyone makes a simple smooth insert / replacement that could be paint matched. My truck is white, so those really stand out (not a bad way by any means, but they are fake vents - maybe I'd like them more if they were functional), and I'm curious what it would look like if it was filled in and painted to match(?)
