2007 with 171k miles question.

Hi Ya'll
Iv been searching for a week and haven't found a answer.
When I back out of my driveway and turn a hard left, I feel and hear a vibration in the seat. Any ideas?

Larger tires? Suspension modifications? Stock?

 

Have you gone under to do a visual? Start there.
Lots of things it can be at this point: wheel bearing, CV shaft, u-joint, center driveshaft bearing, diff, Brake caliper, transmission. Get a buddy to help out while one backs up the truck and the other observes as close as possible the suspension and under-carriage.

 

Thank you all. The truck has stock size tires, wheels and suspension. I crawled under it and could not find anything obvious.

 

Does the truck have to be moving?
Or can you replicate the problem with it stopped by turning hard left?
Does the truck have to be in gear? (park, neutral)

Answering those questions can help narrow down the places to look.

 

TnSooter, hi neighbor. It only does it when it's cold, backing up and turning sharp. I starting to think it might be the cold tires. Ya know cold 89° w/ 90% humidity, lol!

 

Does your truck have LSD?

 

I'm not sure, I have owned it a little over a week. How do I check?

I didn't see anything about LSD. I did find out it is equipped wit a factory tow package.
