I think, just my confused head thinking that Pat ment Dan.
If he did than I don't want any part of some weird Tacoma intercourse.
    It's Friday.
Than again, my truck does have a mind of it's own. We've all seen that.
Just as long it doesn't start identifying itself as a Jeep.

Had to insert a 2mm washer in-between trans. skid (RCI) and crossmember so the cat guard on d.s. wouldn't touch the cat.
Now my bum doesn't vibrate every time I accelerate.
    Vibe free, again......for now.

@rubbersidedown or any other IT nerds out there - Are you dealing with any Crowdstrike issues today? I am. Not amused.

My trade brokerages are glitching and I'm contemplating starting a position in CRWD on this massive dip.

Yes, it's what we call "a very bad day" in the industry. Normally I'm supposed to do like 100 tickets a month. I've fixed at least 60 of these PCs today. Over it. Whichever junior developer pushed this faulty patch better be fired LOL.

Yep, I was up around 5:30 with my team. We had 90% of stuff up and set to sell by 7:45. Minimal impact to us (Chrome devices FTW), but we had trouble with debit transactions at the stores because some banks were still down.

Boss took us out for happy hour drinks. I've had worse Fridays.

Yup. Went to bed about midnight. Got called at 00:45. Worked on fixing stuff til 14:30 and needed to get some sleep. Slept 3 hours and was back at it til 21:00 or so. Back to about 100% now

took out about half our fleet.

    safe mode
    Cd drivers\crowdstrike
    del C-00000291*.sys
    Reboot

feel like that’s melted into my brain at this point.

Also when we were troubleshooting, people would get logged onto their laptop and join zoom then their agent would update and start the blue screen loop on their laptop lol

was fun being on my unaffected Mac

Oh man, happy that you dodged most of this mess. Definitely jelly of your Friday versus mine.

OK you win, my day wasn't all that bad. We encrypt with BitLocker and use randomized local passwords with BeyondTrust so it makes life a little more complicated and stupid. Most of the time I was booting to a Windows PE boot environment because it was faster than going in circles waiting for safe mode to play nice. Average time per machine was like 10 minutes, what a waste of time. Luckily our major incident team caught it early and paused updates to prevent it from rolling out further.

Yeah it was real fun grabbing laps passwords for every device. Especially when you have a bunch of hoops to jump through to get there and the hoops were also broken.

They need a better display for l and 1, ( and { and O and 0. They look way too alike, especially when sleep deprived.

People like to have one product so then they know it works everywhere. I keep telling people that the opposite of that is also true. Maybe now people will understand vendor diversity and minimizing your blast radius.
