You would fit right in here in Colorado. The posted speed limits are treated as a suggestion.

I don't speed. Guess I'm a "rule follower" and that's supposedly a bad thing.

Whwn I was in Colorado last year, the main thing I noticed was how far everything is, or maybe it's just that the greater Seattle area is so congested and packed full of shit. The lanes were wider, small towns like Colorado Springs are still an hour from one side to the other, just more space, so more speed to get there

Yeah it being in the seattle craigslist was weird and seemed scammy but I did a reverse search of the images and they were original so seems like it could be legit? maybe just trying to get a wider audience, who knows.

Parts haul this week for both bikes.

got some grom handlebars for the monkey thanks to a recommendation from @spencermarkd turns out the grom handlebars have less *sweep than the stock monkey bars which helped get the grips away from my knees while turning. Not to mention they look better in black. I made my own crossbar because: scrambler. Also got the Vans grips installed and man they sure are really grippy. I might add them to the Harley too. Hopefully they hold up for a while. Also made my own tail tiday to keep the plate high and tight. Took a cue from my lay down plate mount on the Harley. Also made a quick chain guard to get rid of the giant plastic piece that was there before.

The Harley got some billet bling because stuff was on sale. I was able to color match the parts to the factory wheels which is a wierd copper/bronze color. I really like the subtle contras of levers and pedals. I didn’t realize how much it would change the look of the bike with the generic levers removed.

Had an awesome ride today. It was 74 degrees when I left and got do about 80 when my ride was over. Absolutely beautiful weather. I really enjoyed today's ride. Rode by myself. Did about 110 miles, got 60 mpg. And I finally broke 2,000 miles on the Bonneville.

Managed to take the Buell and the CB400F each out for a little today before going home to rearrange the garage and get the 2013 FJR out to put it back into rotation. First world problem of 4 motorcycles and not enough garage space.

Apparently not Michiganders. 70mph limit and doing 85; routinely getting passed every time Im there for work.

Conversely, Seattlites, chronically 5 under in a 60, especially in the left lane.

New boot goofin! Decided to get serious about footwear after I sugarcookied myself on the beach last weekend. Can totally see how quick injuries can happen offroad in loose environments. Forma Terra Evo X in 46 fit well for a size 12 foot.

Oh it's that way here in the Detroit metro area too. I drive a semi in this everyday. Speed limit is 70 and that's merely a suggestion. Unless I'm in a car or my pickup I try and stay off the freeways. I can set the cruise at 75 and get passed all day long.

@Notoneiota --- Have her check out the traffic around her and see if she is markedly slower than everyone else. FWIW, the general pace I see on the road is FAST.

IMHO, minimally, you want to be keeping up with traffic so you don't get rear-ended by some cell-phone texting ID10T. Optimally, if you're going just a tiny bit faster than the traffic around you, MOST of your problems will be in front of you, not coming up on your six o'clock.
