That was the next step, I replaced the shoes/drums recently and thought it was adjusted well. Might need to do a little more

Went out and did a few notches on the star adjuster on both sides nothing precise - pedal travel before bite is vastly improved but may have over adjusted the drums just a bit. Parking brake gets 11 clicks with that last click taking a bit of force whereas before it was like 20+. Also noticed the drums getting sorta hot... will probably just let it fix itself with a good drive on the interstate

So for anyone who is doing the Tundra swap and has longer pedal travel after bleeding everything, give those rear brakes another adjustment.

Not sure how well the speed bleeders work, but prior to using a Motive pressure bleeder, I did a 2 man bleed after the Tundra brake swap and could not get the firm pedal feel.

Did the pressure bleeder give you the firm pedal? I get really solid engagement at 50% or so no which I'm totally fine with but would definitely prefer better.

Yes, only after I pressure bled the system did I get the firm pedal, which tells me that there was still air in the system even after multiple 2 man bleeds.

I also feel like my brake pedal pressure is temperamental. Sometimes it’s super firm and bites quick, other times I have to push a lot harder than usual. I’ve never heard of a pressure bleed. Maybe I need one too.

Did you crack open the ports that connect to the MC?

That's good to know, probably have it done with a shop whenever I find a place that wants do actually do my rear main. 2 bleeds and I didn't have much luck but don't see any air.

    Yup,

there’s a few tricks for fully bleeding systems.

You can prebleed the MC, tap the lines lightly while bleeding, and tilting the brake calipers while they’re off the knuckle( but still connected).

No pics, but I replaced rotors & pads and both cv axles. I knew the passenger cv axle was ripped and spraying grease, so I got it when I ordered the rotors & pads. To my surprise when I went to change the brake parts on the driver’s side I saw that cv boot was ripped and spraying grease everywhere too. That side was replaced a little over 2 years ago. At least now I know the axles are good and the diff is full of nice, clean gear oil.
