Gave me flashbacks of trying to teach my parents how to use phone apps like Uber.

"How can they tell where I am?"

Edit: they're in their 60s and 70s btw

Finally got out fishing this morning. First fish of the season was a good eating size perch. Unfortunately it was the only fish for me. My buddy landed a couple nice largemouths. It was a beautiful morning out there though, so totally worth it.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I fished today as well, and today was a day to remember with my brother-in-law. We both learned to filet fish today. I will admit that both of us were a little late in life learning that skill due to various circumstances, but better late than never. Caught a lot of fish including a chunky smallmouth that was a smidge above 20 inches (which we released.) Had a really good time and damn was the fish tasty. Special Shit seasoning has earned a place not only on all the other food I'm used to eating but on fish as well. Forgot how good fish is that was just swimming an hour ago. Also feels good to harvest our own food instead of buying it.

Excellent! I didn't learn how to filet a fish until I was in my 20s even though I've been fishing since I could hold a bamboo rod. In my family, grandpa would never filet because he thought it wasted too much good meat and bones added flavor. I'm not sure if there is a name for the way he would clean fish (and taught me) but the head, tail and fins were removed and the backbone and rib bones stayed. It was a little more work eating them and removing bones, but man the flavor of a fresh caught lake perch or crappie!

Edit: didn't know about Special Shit seasoning, but after checking out their website I will admit that their marketing team is good! I may have to check out a few seasonings.

Being too lazy to clean them is why I'm catch and release.
That and I don't really like killing things.
Someone else can do the killing. I'll do the eating.
Didn't fish today but saw some, what are either, trout or (small) largemouth.

I don’t care for fish enough to clean them. Fish three+ times a week and just let ‘em go. Did go to a great fish fry yesterday. Oasis bar in HighBridge WI. Recommended!!!

At work people treat me like an old man. Wait, I mean elderly.

    Me too.
    Just not overlooking a lake,
overlooking the dog pen and the pond.

    Don't forget the peppermint stick.
