    Evening all:

That's a nice 67 Chevelle you got there Rick, I also like the color! Friend of mine had one just like it, but it was the 350 horse 396 version, they were, and still are, good looking rides. He ended up with a new 435 horse block and heads with a 4 barrel on it, it ran pretty good before, but that 427 really brought it to life!

Yep, those types were usually the worse!

Judging by your post Sprig, I would venture to take a guess that your first encounter may have been with a 385 or 390 horse, the second one with a 425 horse, I ran a 385 or 390 horse vette and it didn't even stand a chance, any chance that you recall what the first one was. Actually, there was a way to tell them apart from the rear (when new), the smaller ones had resonators and tailpipes out the rear, the big ones lacked resonators and the tailpipes came out right behind the rear wheels.

I have a similar story which I believe I posted before, the first guy I ever shut down in time trials had a 365 horse 426 wedge, he couldn't believe that he got shut down by a 396, after the second time I shut him down he came over to me, took one look at the motor and he was relieved that he hadn't been beat by a 396, which was only available as a 325 horse version in the 66 B bodies, he should have looked at the flags first!

Kudos to the old guys on here who still have classic car "toys", looks like we ain't dead yet!

This same young man was coming back from a trip out of town, driving maybe 100 mph, Nevada Highway Patrol stopped him, not much they could do since at the time at least in rural areas there was no speed limit. Got just a slight warning. :)

Cool Old Dudes with classic American muscle cars. Gives my morale a boost and faith we'll be ok in these worrisome times. So thankful the OGs of this thread welcomed me to sit on the bottom step of the porch 14 years ago.

Gentlemen, you have my utmost respect and appreciation. God Bless America!

Good morning. Coming home from a restaurant yesterday afternoon i pulled out behind a 68 Roadrunner. My buddy had one with a 383 engine and it was really a nice ride. Back in the day Plymouths had nice lines for such a big car. You just do not see many Roadrunners these days.

My Camaro I've owned for 25 years now !!! ,

Currently built as a fun Street / Strip toy . The weather this Summer and my health hasn't been favorable to drive it around much this year

But when I can take it out for some exercise it makes me feel better !!
