5 hours later and we're getting somewhere.

I was at my Dad's so my daughter could play with her cousins while I knocked this out. So naturally he asked for a wash too.

    Stubborn Tigerton muck.

Just have to let my touch up paint cure for 24 hours and blend in the clear coat. Special thanks to @rubbersidedown for lending me his polisher. My little Amazon special would have taken forever and probably wouldn't have enough power for the deeper scratches. After that's all said and done I'm throwing a ceramic coating on top so next time it'll be a breeze to clean.

I cannot like this. Hoping that the person in serious condition will be able to recover.

Reading things like this makes me grateful for how responsible those of us in this group are when out on the trails.

Two riding a single. Alcohol added. What could go wrong? Problem is now (selfishly) how does it impact public access…. Sorry about the loss of life; however, well never mind I’ll save that diatribe for the campfire.

Thank you for passing this along. Very tragic for those involved.

Agreed! I've always been nervous about reckless people possibly showing up at events. But, fortunately, it hasn't been an issue.

    Plus, no helmets. o_O

I feel bad for the Tigerton staff for whatever trouble this is going to cause them.

True. It's good knowing that I don't have to worry about my group leaving a mess behind at the campsite. Back when my ex and I hosted group camping trips, I'd almost always find cigarette butts and other random trash while giving the site a final check.

    Tragic indeed.
I'm trying to remember when safety became a thing of interest to me.
    The near death situations?
    Having a family.
    Age.
At some point life starts to become more valuable.

I wear a helmet mt. biking because I'm afraid of getting hit by a car. Not from falling.

Edit: Ohhhh. Possibly trains, too. Ya never know with us.

Wouldn't surprise me, based on the general public's ability to read maps. :notsure:

Then there are the bicycle riders who seem to think that every public highway is their personal trail.

We do have our share of entitled bikers in Madison that feel the roads belong only to them.
I prefer trails where car-bike interaction is minimal.

If I remember correctly, they don't leave much of a bike lane alongside the parked cars. (east wash.) for either to drive.
There's a few streets around here where the driving lane/bike lane are basically split.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I was thinking the same. Then I started thinking about the soon-to-be involvement of lawyers. Even though you sign a waiver, you know this is coming!

A incident happened to me just the other night coming home from work. It involved 2 bike cyclists not following simple rules and laws.
I can't give details here. Might get banned.
