I cannot find them anywhere on the internet, and they seem too clean to be custom. Anyone seen these before?

They are really nice, and fit even with a cap installed. But, i got them from my neighbor whos son had them in his taco, so no one knows where they came from! I tried typing in that number into google and got nothing
And Theres a sticker that says "50lb limit" so im prettttty sure they arent custom.

PS. they are for sale....my 2013 is no longer with us. But, I should see if they fit my 2024.

those appear to be adapters that sandwich the original tacoma parts. far too much work in those to be custom one-off's. i tried a few key words, but nothing popped up.

almost adapters. The bars look like factory bed rails, with the caps on the end and everything. They are welded to a "Y" shape , which is then bolted to a stock bed tiedown. Took more pics bc a few people were confused. No one seems to have seen these before though, which is weird. Tried them on my 2024. They are about a cm TOO long to fit! what a bummer! Looks like 2nd/3rd gen only. If no one wants them., i may notch the y piece to slide shorter and fit into the 4th gen.

Thanks for the reply. Ya, this appears to be the case as 4x4junkie found yesterday. Thanks! Ive just never seen them ON a truck before. I think its an early 2nd gen part, that didnt get optioned much before. They are pretty good though, and the rail allows for the factory tie downs to be used on them , giving mid bed tiedown spots and lots of flexibility.

@4x4junkie is right. Those crossbars but not many people use those back in the day... until aftermarket companies came out with new stuff such as bed racks, accessories, etc. for 2nd/3rd gens which look lot better than those crossbars you have there.

I remember not many Tacomas with mods on the roads back in the day, now some tacomas with bunch of mods on with started when 3rd gens came out. I mean bed rack, awning, etc.

Ya, thats a good point. Early 2000's tacos seem to mostly be limited to caps, and not much else. Funny how now everyone thinks carcamping requires 10k in addons haha! My MOM used to take us "overlanding" in our 1985 honda civic to the national parks every summer, with a tent, and a big green coleman stove. Also, funny how you mention the aftermarket bars "look better" even though they are arguably less functional (cant add the factory tiedown to mid bar). These are simple, clean, and super functional. Wish they fit my 2024.

I always get sad when I see a post "what do i need to get started in overlanding"... its sacrilegious here but most of the time, the answer is "not a taco"

I have these bars! I found them of locally on offerup. I believe they were an OEM accessory for the 2012-2015.
Definitely NOT for heavy, bouncy loads.

Nice! thanks for chiming in. Do you like em? How much were they on offerup. I was going to put mine up for sale for like 50 bucks each bar. Is that insane?

I got them to use inside my Bestop soft topper, which was perfect since they don't depend the top of the bedsides...but because of that they don't hold a lot of weight (bent one with a 5gal gas can while off roading :anonymous:) Now I mainly use it to mount a solar panel and basket for chairs and light camping stuff.

I think I bought the pair for $90. It is a hard to find item.
