It's not bad if your prepared by watching some youtube videos and having everything you need ready. I was no rush but it took me about 2.5 hours.

That's nice. Do you have the .stl available for that insert?

Anyone know if I can use the same "add a fuse" from under the steering wheel to feed 2 cameras? will this result in a dimmer or underperforming camera?

No, just make sure the fuse is properly sized for the amperage draw.

Ok this is another thing I bought a few years ago and finally looking to install. Part of the delay is me avoiding the meso LSP7 install for this switch.

I looked through this post and site and don’t really see any clean installs where the bull bar blocks the original location.
The 3D printed mount in the O seems kind of slick…I don’t have a printer.

Anyone mount the cam horizontally near the top of the grille?
Trying to figure a diy bracket and clean install.

Also, anyone know if the camera connection will be in the engine bay or of it’ll make it into the cab?

Ideally I’d prefer it in the engine bay then I can try different places to see what’s best before final install.

    not enough.
i have mine through a hole i drilled on my grill on the horizontal piece above the "toyota" logo. (my grill was cheap ebay knockoff so i didn't feel so bad). and it's held super well and gets great picture. granted, i think my camera burned out from getting constant power so I need to revise my system and get a new camera. lol.

Any chance you could post a pic?
My grille is a knockoff too in the bar made it almost impossible to remove.

I thought that still might be blocked but maybe not.

Do you know if the connector for the cam ends up in the engine bay?
If it does then that’ll make it a lot easier to try different locations.

Love this mod for trailer backup usage!
I had to hardwire to trailer plugs due to voltage loss over 40 feet. Extension wires gossamer thin.
Bought three Natika cams for my trailers. Work well but strong fisheye effect, much more so than the OEM on the truck.

Has anyone found a camera that better matches the truck lens?

Also thinking of wiring a second relay in series as someone else has done, and putting a front cam on truck (Camera no.3). Too often am forcing a trailer turnaround in too narrow a road and hard up to not visible rocks and trees.
