I’m wishing my residence looked like that. Looks peaceful. We have a sequoia that we’ve raised since it was a couple inches tall and are trying to find a place to put him in the ground where he’ll make it. Not an easy task in this area. If we lived there we could put it in our own yard.
    Oh yeah, nice truck :D

Driving across Kansas the other week, got some slightly better lightning shots.

    Untitled-1s.jpg

But also had some near misses with lightning -- yikes. And the roads out there, although they look like gravel, turn out to be clay. Not the best place to be caught towing a trailer in the rain... wish I had a photo of it jackknifed in a ditch, but hey, I got out.

    DSC07766s.jpg
    Same spot, different lens

$10 in quarters to blast several hundred pounds of wet clay off that trailer before it dried. Sheesh.

Now this next one was fun... met an old friend for a Colorado trip. He's had this long-bed 2nd-gen 4x4 for a while but has never really wheeled it. So I brought him a nice Tacoma World skid set from LA.

    20240708_182848s.jpg

Thanks @el_turks and @silver taco -- these are your skids going on my buddy's truck!

With thanks to Mile Hi Jeep Club Patrol 14...

Wanted to make his first Colorado trail a memorable one, so I took him up Red Cone on a beautiful day. Not an easy trail for long wheelbase, open gears, and smaller tires... but we only needed a strap in a couple spots.

Damn, I just love that trail.
