Going to the Bone and Joint center this afternoon. Aggravated my shoulder pretty bad . Tore the rotator cuff over 20 years ago and never had surgery . Almost every year since something happens and I’m in severe pain . Finally going to try and get something done . I’ve had the steroid shots but it’s time for an MRI to see just how bad it is . :fingerscrossed:

Shoulder injuries are never any good" I’ve had reconstructive surgeries on both of mine..Right was done in 2006 and the left in 2023. I lost about 20 % mobility in both but they still work ok considering how damaged they were..good luck and if you need surgery make sure you get a good shoulder surgeon…makes all the difference in the world

My neighbor feeds foxes and a few coons and maybe skunks, they crap in my yard, so I’ve started throwing the firmer bits into her yard. Wacko lady, crazy “cat lady” type. She uses a bucket to fill her many bird feeders, enough for all the squirrels too.

I have a cat lady next door, there outdoor cats. Feral with all the shots and neutered. She over feeds the birds, all the excess feeds all the rodents, cats are too lazy to hunt, it’s literally a shit show.

I feed the feral cats at .y house but not the birds. Cats take care of the rodents. Never had so much as a mouse turd in my garage. I've seen them eat mice and rats in my driveway, last thing that goes in is the back feet and tail, lol. A couple blocks away from me they have a huge rat problem, but not around me! Thanks to the feral cats.

    Morning all:

I graduated from raccoons and skunks to bears!
Haven't seen a racoon in a while, and only the occasional skunk, seems strange that I'm not seeing them like before.

Picked up a 2nd doe lic. this morning, now have all the bases covered for the areas we hunt.

I use a bear resistant garbage can, it has a few dirty paw marks, claw marks and tooth marks on it. Just have to make sure the latch catches after I place garbage in it. It’s been relocated by a bear a few times, moved maybe 10 feet in their effort to access it.

Ouch! Be certain to do what the PT tells you! Very important!
    Best of luck!

Envious! I didn’t draw anything (antelope, muley, elk) in either drawing this year! May have to drive to Texas just to hunt this year! Or miss another year of wild game meat.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Legs are feeling lousy this morning - glad I see the sports therapy lady this afternoon. That doesn't last long enough (both the session, and the good feeling!). Other than that, who knows. Waiting to hear about my neck X-Rays, and see the heart Doc #1 on Wednesday. At least I have seen the labs, and the kidney numbers everyone was fussing about are back in the normal range.

I will keep that tether handy, but that X mount has lots of grip on my phone, and nothing but plastic and carpet underneath. Interested to see how this works out, and for the insurance crap too.

I have to take antibiotics before any dental visit since getting replacement knees. If they get infected, I'm screwed. So, what hurt the worst this morning? Right inside both knees! I doubt infection is the case, but sheesh. Good luck getting repaired! I understand completely.

I actually don't have a problem with the bear going after my garbage, it does hit my neighbors across the street on a fairly regular basis and also the neighbor next to me on occasion, there must be something it doesn't like in mine.
BUT, it does like my pond! :annoyed:

That stinks Phillip, missing out on 3 different tags really stinks, hopefully you will be able to salvage the season somehow, good luck.

I wonder if there is something you could plant around the pond that might discourage it. Bears have amazingly sensitive noses. But then again, they probably enjoy all kinds of scents we would find disgusting. But is there anything bears don't like? Onions? Garlic? Hot chili peppers?

I miss the days when we could fish anywhere and the limit was eight fish... and if we wanted five deer for the freezer we could just go in and buy five tags.

I tried that, pine sol, Clorox, and ammonia, are "SUPPOSED" to all be scents that they don't like, none seemed to phase it, rat traps and a large piece of plywood with sharp deck screws sticking out of it also seemed to not deter it either, it sure is persistent!

Yea, if only it would come around during hunting season, seems like they disappear around that time of the year!

  sixtys/wannabes/critter handlers. We have the usual suspects around here too, plus a few that are a bit on the unusual side. Just a few minutes ago our cat Mr. Gray had a chat with Priscilla Peacock, who lives just up the hill and has learned how to open the latch on her gate.
