It's always a challenge to decide what gets opened and what doesn't! That's the hard part! I bet your room is looking amazing though!

The room is actually a mess right now but it is nice to finally get the cars out of those tubs. Forgot how many I had.

How many do you have? Or is that a question that equates to the wife asking what do you think about this dress?

Honesty I don’t know. I have display cases I hung in the garage and when they got full I bought more. Then I started hanging them on the walls around them until those were full. That was many years ago. Then I started putting them in plastic bins and filling them. I should know when I’m done with this room. What fits stays and what doesn’t goes.

Been there and done that with what stays and what goes. Facing that dilemma again as the garage shelves are filling up ( again ).
I filled up 10-12 model kit boxes with 1/64 and 1/24s a week or 2 ago for the yard sale and flea markets next spring. My wife is doing the same thing with her collections of Raggedy Ann and Andy's and her Holly Hobbies which she said the later all are going to go. Basement has boxes packed as well. She has out what she intends to keep.
I limit myself to what I can display in my "Gasser Room". If it goes to the shelves in the garage they are on their way out most likely. Its getting hard to do that and I keep saying maybe I wont let it go. There are 4 units out there. I boxed up 2 of them but the other to are on hold. I just cant do it (yet).
Tearing everything out of the garage soon to repaint and fix all the walls and put a new finish on the floors. What is not needed goes. Over the years restoring old cars I collected a lot of parts and tools I don't need anymore.

I have friends who are collectors that have insane collections pilled up in totes in their basements. I vowed to never let myself go that far but its easy enough to do. I used to be one of those people. Limiting my collection to drag racing and pick ups helped me to stop buying everything else. That's bad enough.
My Uncle Hoarder is my primary motivation to keep this under control. The uncle owns 3 homes which are stuffed. He has 5 full size vans stuffed. A 30' camper and a large outside pole building is stuffed. He has several garage type storage facilities all stuffed. Behind each of the houses are rows of lawn mowers and other equipment. Its insane. I call him a mega hoarder but he claims he is just a buyer. We need to get him on the Hoarders TV show.

I didn’t think much of it when I was putting a lot in tubs thinking I will display it someday. Or put them on the bench or on top of something saying I will get to it later. Then it starts getting in the way. I started collecting vw bugs in the early 90’s branched off a little but still looked for the vw bugs.

Here is what I found this weekend...finally saw the blue Matchbox Bronco in the wild...top peg in front so I was surprised it was still there. I was able to hit the new display at Dollar Tree and snagged a few HW's...the purple exclusive D100 is pretty in the sun. I have 3 colors now. **I did see a guy with his cart when I went to checkout with some cars also so he hit it first as the manager said he just placed the display out. Also couldn't pass up on the 1:32ish size ladder truck....ladder extends cray high!

These will be fun to hunt...not. I can hope that scalpers don't go too crazy.

And I found these on Instagram. The Sileighty will definitely be my number one. And in need of a wheel swap.
