Good morning friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend and has an awesome Monday.

We had a great time Saturday. My wife’s cousin came to visit, he is a former Marine. His college buddy whom he hasn’t seen since 1988 joined the Army and flew choppers for 20 years.

He flies the air care unit at a local airport near us so we all got to visit and catch up, the chopper was cool.

After that we stopped by a place that Virginia Tech is in charge of called Reynolds homestead, I never thought about what it is but it’s R.J. Reynolds home place. You know, the big tobacco company.

We were walking around and a lady pulled up and said she was there to clean and could give us a tour of the house if we wanted, very cool tour and informational.

One thing I learned is R.J’s nephew started his own company.

You may or may not have heard of it, Reynolds wrap :)

From the web about Reynolds wrap…

“Richard S. Reynolds started his business journey in 1919 with his company, the U.S. Foil Co., which supplied tin-lead wrappers to cigarette and candy companies. In the 1920s, the price of aluminum dropped, and Reynolds switched from tin to the lighter-weight, non-corrosive metal. In 1926, Reynolds began using aluminum foil as a packaging material for the first time and his company, which he renamed to Reynolds Metals in the late 1920s, became quite successful. Anticipating America’s entry into World War II and a subsequent increased demand for aluminum, Reynolds began mining bauxite (aluminum ore) in Arkansas in 1940 and opened the company’s first aluminum plant near Sheffield, Alabama in 1941. In 1947, the company came up with its now-famous creation, Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil. The creation transformed cooking and food storage. Today, it remains a popular item and can be found on grocery store shelves all over the world.”

Ya know.. if you built a bigger warehouse, there would be less lawn to mow, which equals more time to goof off... just saying

I get to wear this 24/7 until I see the doctor, in November. Going Saturday for an MRI. Knee cap popped out again, I’m tired of it.

It’s happened 20-30 times in the last 30 years, figured since we’ve met out of pocket max may as well go. Especially since it happened yesterday evening and it was popping this morning at work.

They are the same people who ask here why they can't power brake their new $45K truck to do burnouts...

"Back in the day" to do a proper burnout you started on flat pavement, wheels straight ahead and put your boot to the board. If you couldn't break the tires free then you had to spend some more money.

If you "cheated" by power braking, neutral dropping or having a wheel on gravel you got laughed at.
