    i want to do that BUT this 2o11 single cab with 97k miles i am looking after has NO cover over that pump like i have seen in some DIY videos

    Oh I meant Do you drive on the highways frequently? Freeway tollway etc.
    The gen2 single cab with AT is exceptionally quiet (engine transmission) overall compared to gen1 at very high speeds in my experience

    ah gotcha. It’ll be my DD, so lots of pavement and stop n go. I’ve got unfortunately little time/budget for offroading atm. Hoping to change that in a year or so when our financial picture changes.

    also, I’d welcome increased sound deadening in the gen 2 come to think of it. My gen 1 is quite loud, tho honestly it’s never bothered me much.

    Yes the 2nd gens are quieter compared to a 1st gen
