Yeah it was getting a little old, at least it seems like he's finally leaving soon. One thing this show does not do nearly as good as GoT did is showing, in detail, all the other stories going on simultaneously that tie into the main narrative. GoT and HotD basically focus on the same thing, the fight for the Iron Throne, but man GoT was so much more immersive in terms of showing you what was going on all over the realm.

With this prequel we are basically just hearing about what goes on everywhere else and how it ties in, not getting to witness it or meet any of the characters.

I am really confused how that dude at the end got to become a dragon rider when he's not Targaryen at all (at least I didn't think so?). I know he's a bastard son of Corlys the Sea Snake dude who was married to a Targaryen, but those sons of his were out of an affair and wouldn't have any Targaryen blood in them so why does he get to ride a dragon....

I dunno if that was part of the book or a part the show decided to make up but I'm curious about it

I knew it had to be related to the whole affair thing but surprised the first mate's brother was chosen.

Just thought it was weird that Seasmoke went out and searched for his own rider, after burning that one dude alive. Maybe his way of fulfilling the need?

yeah that part also had me curious if it's something the show made up and wasn't in the books, doesn't seem to coincide with the general lore leading up to that point

But I agree, it feels like these last 2 episodes were just "fillers".

There's a few other GoT prequels in the works, I think HBO/Max is looking to turn into their Star Wars franchise....but hopefully they don't butcher it the same way Disney did to SW.

Off topic, is it common for 1.5 year olds to constantly demand something to eat 24/7?

I know they go through several growth spurts but this kid will eat a whole meal, finish, and ask for more.

We'll give him a snack, then make him play or something only to ask for more food less than an hour later.

We're giving him snacks now each hour but holy fuck he wants more, constantly

I think the constant snacking thing is pretty common. I mean they are growing like a weed so as long as the snacks are generally healthy I don't see a problem with it. Nothing worse than a hungry toddler having a meltdown that's for sure

The hard thing is trying to balance that against making sure they have enough room to eat a real meal come mealtime, because of course once it's lunch or dinner time suddenly "I'm full I don't want anything" o_O

I got caught up yesterday. Last nights episode was about 10% content and 90% filler.

I believe there is definitely a difference in how boys eat and girls eat. Boy are garbage disposals and girls are way more picky.

I will say in the week he's started crawling our whole world has been flipped upside down, it's so much more hazardous now because Sofia constantly has her toys and stuff all over and he crawls towards all of it. I put him down with his toy bin in the living room this morning and went to feed the cats and Dex

10 seconds later I hear River crying/whining and find him on the other side of the room face down on the floor with the little end table knocked over onto his back pinning him to the ground. Like, how TF did you manage that in 10 seconds

Was he trying to climb up the end table?

No I think he saw one of Dex's chew toys behind the chair and was trying to work around it. It's not even really a table, it's one of those little stands you put next to recliners and what not that can hold a drink or two. Pretty light but still, would have been bad if it had come down on his head instead of over his back so we'll be relocating those to the attic for the next long while lol.

Theo nonchalantly walking away from us/the couch only for us to be like "Theo, come here!"

Little dude half turns his head, and starts taking off running like WTF DUDE

I also did let River roll off the bed and onto the floor a couple weeks ago, by far the worst thing I have done with either kid lol. It's crazy how much more hectic and hard it is to watch a baby when you're also trying to watch a 4 year old. I literally turned my back on him for 3 seconds and he rolled over 3 times and right off the edge of the bed, I heard this big "THUNK.........wwwwwahahhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I was like HOooooly fuck I just killed my kid.

Luckily he landed right on the dog padding we have for Dex to sleep on (had to get rid of his bed because the cat's peed on it, so we were using the thin padded mattress from his old crate). That definitely saved him lol.

The worst I think I ever did with Sofia was when she was about 2 years old and I let her unbuckle herself in her stroller because we were coming up to our house. Sure enough, I turn from the sidewalk into our walkway and the stroller wheel catches the edge of the lawn and the whole thing flips over with her flying out of it right onto the walkway lol.

I just made a second cup of coffee. I got woken up at 230 last night by the cats and Monica saying there's something in the room.
30 minutes later 2 bats removed from the house.

I feel like the bed is more common then you think. Olive did it at 6 months. Thankfully our bed is not to tall. It happened to a coworkers kid about a month later.
Olive has learned how to slide off the couch now by herself safely. Soon she will be able to do it on the bed.
