So I’ve been going back and forth on this. Been talking to people about servicing my transmission oil. Some people say they don’t and others say yes. What’s the correct answer to go with? I’m at 117,000 miles. I know kinda high. Of course I want to keep it running forever. I don’t tow I do roads trips maybe once or twice a year in it. No more then 500 miles one way. I am running 285’s and have fox 2.5’s on front and back if that makes any difference. Please share your thoughts if I should change it out or no. Thanks

I prefer to start with early (30-50K) and frequent drain n fills. I did my first at 42k, and will do so about every 30k (about every 3 years for me). It's quick, cheap, and will keep fairly fresh fluid in there.
Any vehicle I intend to keep, I do fluids slightly early.

Hard to say but at least yours isn't incredibly high mileage. Personally, I would want fresh fluid in it and I would consider fresh fluid better than letting the fluid go bad or dirty. As always do a simple drain and fill and never flush it out with high pressure if you decide to.

I would do a drain and refill. Look up the correct temp check procedure

And then maybe another in 30k miles.

I wouldn’t do a complete flush of fluid at that mileage.

I would do a drain and fill and do it a couple of times since you have 117K once now and maybe again in 5K more miles then around 30K from now on just my opinion.

    This!
It’s about all you can do at this point, unless you have a Time Machine. I damn sure wouldn’t do a full flush at nearly 120k, and my buddy that’s a tech wouldn’t either, of course he’d be cursing if I waited half that long.

Appreciate the reply’s guys. Have either of you had shifting issues after doing it? Or does all the gear feel the same after changing it?
