good over here, how about things on your end? I should stop by more often!

 

We're surviving over here, just work and taking care of the pup! You definitely should stop by more often, but life tends to get in the way sometimes which is understandable. I'm just glad you and the others in here do stop by and say hi when you get a chance.

 

How is pup doing these days, don't think I've asked since I returned from hiatus?

Any recent pup pics??

It sure does. We’ve been looking at a new pup, another Shiba but are not sure if we want to commit to one yet.

 

He's still fighting, he's in remission again so just hoping for it to last awhileWe have had some really tough times and he has a lot of other things going on like skin issues and high kidney values but his kidney values went down this last visit. His skin is really bad right now and he's on antibiotics after eating his legs raw but overall he's still healthy.

The last chemo we did was a newer drug called Tanovea, it was ok the first treatment but the second one was harsh and it took him a long time to recover. We thought we were in the end stages and decided to stop treatments. He was in remission at that time but I didn't expect it to last long. He was really lethargic, nauseous and just overall not good but I nursed him back to health. Hand feeding him daily, trying to get him to eat anything, forcing water down his throat and his prednisone. It was rough but he's doing better now and we're just enjoying our time with him.
Sorry such a long story, just a small part of the past 6 or so months though honestly lol.

How are things with you, any exciting stuff?

These are the most recent pics I have, I always take so many is ridiculous haha. It's definitely a big commitment but worth it for all the love and good times...Although I don't know if I'll be able to do this all again. It's been hard mentally, emotionally and financially and when I lose him I'll be a mess I don't think my heart can't take anymore but you never know

Can relate having lost 4 of our cats.

The only time they hurt us is when they leave, but that hurt is soul crushing.

Thanks. He's doing better for time being. Just trying to keep him that way as long as possible. He needs to wear a cone but he can't fit through the doggy door while we're at work so it's taking longer to get his legs to heal. That's my only complaint right now.

100% this is my last one before I start working extremely long and hardcore days before our inventory so I'm just trying to heal up and rest before that hell lol.

 

For sure, my heart has had a few bad losses so not sure I'll do it again.
