Why would Toyota sell a product that outsells Dodge Rams?

I know it’s ancient. But I like slow and solid. :D

Dude, I'm all about simple, solid, just works Toyota and I think that gen looks better than the hot trash they are coming out with.

You answered that a lot nicer then I would have lol.
Has he even looked at the sales numbers? Tundras are still selling even with a recall . Tundra dude 34 gives updates monthly and I haven't seen any huge dips .

They are offering 8000 off for limited hybrids at my local dealer all day long. Selling them like hot cakes at Dennys.

When I picked up my 4Runner yesterday, the dealer had probably a hundred Tundras. They were everywhere. I’m guessing they would do 10-12k off sticker.

But they are still selling , they should be offering discounts as they are over priced . Also isn't it normal in the US to be competitive against the other 3? I have even seen posts that Tacomas are 5k off msrp so really I don't see the issue. I wish we got those deals in Canada .

Ditto….I originally planned to trade on a new Tacoma, but Toyota (and frankly, more than a few new owners here..) convinced me to have one of the last delivered straight from Tahara instead.

Can't be more than 1% of new Tundra buyers are aware of the recall. The 24s aren't included, it's not like you walk into the Toyota dealer and there's a stop sale on the 24 Tunda. Most buyers won't know nothing a bout the recall.

It’s been a week and that truck is still listed at the same discount. Out of curiosity, and for shits n giggles I requested their best OTD price.

8K is probably on the low end. My local dealer has hybrids that have been there for months. I would not trust a build date before May 2024 though.

Not sure. That’s why I asked for best OTD. I’m not really shopping a 4th gen, but if the nearly 10k off price is legit I’d entertain it.

Is there any reason to trust a build date after May 2024?

You mean the debris found in both factories, and that only affects non hybrid blocks even though there is no difference when they come down the line blocks...that debris...lol.

I wouldn't touch one of those trucks until a mid cycle refresh and even then I would have to hear something about an engine design change.
