Can anyone recommend a vent visor? Does it even matter?

    Depends if you want stick ons or in channel visors. A lot of people use the in channel visors, with weathertech being one of the commonly used ones. Not sure what some of the other brands are people are buying, but they'll chime in soon enough.

    My truck had them already when I got as did my last truck. If you can get the ones that tuck up in the window channel they seem much better. My older truck had the taped on ones and they would whistle sometimes on the highway and its pretty annoying.

    Weathertech in channel are the only way to go, everything else does'nt even compare in quality.

    What do they do the the channel when you take them off? These came on my truck (I got it used) they work OK enough, but I'm kinda worried what it'll be like if I removed them (which I will since nothing lasts forever.)

    Especially concerned they'll compress the rubber/felt in the channel so the window doesn't seal well anymore.

    I had my Weathertechs in the channel for about a year and took them off for a bit during the winter because the extreme cold [read: -40 C] was causing them to vibrate a little on the highway and it was really annoying. Just put them back in exactly one week ago. There were no visible or audible signs of change on the weather seal in the window. No leaks, no air noise, nothing.

    I have the Weathertech in-channel, and I love them. The only thing bad about them was the shitty double sided tape for the back windows. I had to put my own on to get them to stay.

    I have EGR in channel vent visors and I'm really happy with them. I've taken them out multiple times with no problems.

    I like my Weathertechs , but as noted above during cold weather when the window weatherstripping is less pliable you do get rattling .
