1GR-FE to BMW 8 speed BMW trans adapter

the m57 does sound pretty cool when straight piped, defiantly better than the 1gre fe sound

 

Any straight 6 sounds better than a V6, I think I just want a B58 and to use the 8HP75 out of a RAM1500 so I could maintain 4x4. Screw the 1GR and A750, long travel taco with high power bimmer drivetrain sounds baller

supposedly on Instagram someone’s doing a Cummins swap into a 2nd gen Tacoma now

 

My X-Runner's transmission has at least 2 rebuilds under its belt (1 under my ownership and 1 maybe 2 under prev owner's). I will be using this kit to 8HP swap the next time it catastrophically fails.

Horrible rev hang and inherently fragile synchros force me to upshift painfully slow. 8HP swap can't happen soon enough.

 

I am excited to see this happen!

 

you rebuilt an RA60?

did you only have to use the FSM? Where’d you get parts?

 

Maybe I'll start shifting like a teenager who just got their Honda to speed the process.

Hey Tuesday, sorry I didn't rebuild it myself nor did the prev owner (my cousin). We both had different shops take care of the rebuilds.

 

this is what i was longing for after all these years a great transmission to mount to the 1grfe that give me the nicer mpg but have the fun mods for hp

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but the A750F tranny max's out at 368 or 405ft/lbs torque right? Cause depending on which M57 engine you go with/number of turbos it can be darn close to maxing it out or just maxes it out completely

 

I’m not really sure what the torque limits are for the trans
