I have personal data that supports that conclusion.

I’m not sure what is the proper way to deal with this. I let May drive mine off road, instead of getting into it, she bought a used BMW. While I love my Tacoma, her car is a blast to drive. Her maintenance is far more expensive, so that kinda gives me a pass. Idk.

I've had a set of those same rock lights begging to be installed since before last Xmas. Will be watching your placement with great interest!

Go the @Thatbassguy route - let her drive your Tacoma, then buy her a Tacoma, then she will trade in on a 4Runner. Easy peasy. :D

Tell her that the T4R rides more like a Cadillac than a truck, and your truck is a truck.

My wife will pull my truck out of the driveway and park it around the corner in the morning if she's leaving before I am. I love her for that when it means an extra 30 minutes of sleep for me.

The one time she drove it further was to pick up my daughter after some school event a couple years ago. It was dark. She got pulled over right in front of the school because she didn't have the headlights on, just the DTRs. Spoiled with her automatic lights on the VW... Cop was kind and just helped her figure out how to turn them on. She hasn't driven it since.

She can test drive ALF if she wants to. She won't do anything to it that I haven't already done. Dunno how we'd pull it off.

Yes, I suppose I do, but I don't use the feature and prefer to decide myself whether they're on or not. I hate going under an overpass and having them flip on and the display go dim just when I decide to check the screen, while wearing sunglasses.

(Did I just gain some kind of old man points there or something? Feels weird. Oh well. Time to take my pills, kick off these slippers and get to bed.)

Unfortunately probably nothing fun. All the work I was supposed to do around the house last weekend went tits up due to family stuff and now I need to do it this weekend instead. I'm going to blame that on CrowdStrike as well. Will probably just see how ya did it at Tigerton and copy your homework lol.

Edit: Unless I missed his response earlier I don't think @pearing mentioned anything about rock lights...Pat, where do you have your rock lights placed - wheel wells or some other arrangement? Anything you like/dislike or would do differently?

Thats a third Gen thing. Real trucks have to be fondled, touched and manipulated just like...

My rock lights are not bright enough and always covered in mud it seems. That said I have them aimed front and rear of the tires (except the front which is waiting on a bumper) and under the center of the truck as well. None in the wheel wells-my take on that is from watching videos. The wheel well lights always seem to be in the way of the spotter. Plus, they would also be covered in mud. Honestly, I don't even go out at night anymore so I won't upgrade.
