    I held out to FRA (full retirement age) of 66 before taking SS.
    But I was only working part time by then, doing pharmacy deliveries.

    Here's the thing:
    There's nothing I really want anymore, and we were never big spenders anyway.

    When I read articles on MarketWatch about what some people consider necessary for a "comfortable retirement"...
    ... well, I have to shake my head.
    Of course, it helps to own your home outright without any other debts.
    Living in a rural area with low taxes helps a bunch as well.

    I feel sorry for younger folks who are struggling now to even get a starter home.

    My friends daughter and husband just bought there starter home just outside of my hometown. It's about 800 square feet. 71 years old. $562,000. But they have 4 personal use marijuana plants in the back yard.
