Thanks, couldn't remember if it was 02 or 04, needs alot of work regardless of year, actually got piles of salt out of the front frame!

 

I was just in this type situation with my mothers, boyfriend's son.

The kid has an El Camino. It currently has a SBC 350.
He is building a 305 to put in the car. Then is going to build the 350 he takes out to put back into the car.

He has nothing but basic hand tools.
The 305 is RUSTED inside. The bores, the heads, the valves. All have rust.
I tried my best to tell him to skip building the 305, and spend the money on the 350.

It's his car. I just hate to see him waste money.

 

I understand completely, we made all those mistakes when we were young thinking we knew better. Seeing these kids today doing it just makes you cringe and hope they learn sooner than later. He is definitely making a mistake messing with that 305, much smarter to just put that money towards the 350.

 

Stop engaging. You won’t with with these people.

Unless your winning is getting shot at or chased around by a madman with a tire iron.

 

He almost pulled out in front me. I beeped at him. Should I just not beep and hope for the best? I really would rather not end up with a totaled truck…

Also, I feel like this particular cluster of Bucks County has gotten particularly bad. Last week, there were three major accidents (including one fatality involving a motorcyclist who drove around traffic and ran a red light) in five days on County Line Road.

Then there was another before those three in North Wales where a Prius turned in front of a guy on a Harley and the guy on the Harley had to be airlifted.

I also witness crazy drivers cutting each other off and nearly hitting each other on an almost daily basis. Sometimes they road rage at each other; I feel like this is a combination of post-COVID frustrations and overpopulation. There are new houses going up everywhere, and I feel like the roads can’t handle all of the new residents.

Oh, and I’ve lost count of how many people have almost rear-ended me since the start of the summer, probably because they are texting!

This is the third of the particularly bad accidents that occurred on 611 in five days. This one happened a week ago and was not fatal, but a decent-looking Ford Fairmont is likely totaled…

Tell him it's become an issue and needs to stop or you will have to reassess the friendship. Ultimatums are never easy but seems like you're at that point.
