Goes for Taco Garage and all of the others. I seem to be able to find and buy one - even pick the options. But I don't just want two mounting points.
    I need:
Three cell phones, a meshtastic node, my hand held radio, and my vehicle radio mic.
I need USB power up there to a mag mount preferred

It's all of the other accessories past the first two that I can't seem to find on these sites where they sell the equipment. What am I missing? I have to assume they do sell the extra points and the first two are to get you started.

ETA ==> disregard for Taco Garage. Just found it.

Try going through GPSCity.com site for some of the attachments. Look under B-Size balls within the RAM Mounts section.

I use a DMM (has no built in power) with some bought and some self-made attachments.

Consider lining up all your devices side by side and see if there is even enough longitudinal space for them all on the dash.

Sorry for the delay, just got back from a TDY.

Gonna address gvfs first, I'm gonna check out that as an option. Seems quite simple just not sure if the placement will work with the spacing im tying to achieve without losing a mounting point by dropping down the faceplate. Thanks for sharing the pix!

Back over to you AlBrewer, For the screen mirroring, ive gotta first relay that I always root my Android phones upon arrival so I can unlock some restrictions including android auto limitations, add a system level ad blocker and block certain apps from inet access for various reasons. With root access, you can use apps not found on the playstore to make some additional admin/root changes. Screen2Auto v3.7 (https://inceptive.ru/projects/s2a) is the one I use that creates a desktop/launcher on android auto and also mirrors the phone screen allowing touch on the dash screen to passing thru to the phone. I also used AA-AIO-Tweaker v5.2.2 (https://github.com/shmykelsa/AA-Tweaker/releases) make some changes as well. This allows for complete usability of the phone apps like Nest app, APRSdroid, FitCamX, YouTube, etc to be used from the dash. I used this route specifically since my phone already has all of the internet access that im willing to pay for and does not require a hotspot like some other solutions.

Here are some pix of the launcher and apps I frequently use.
Last pic I took was to show how my phone is displayed outside of the launcher using the stock camera app.

    Hope this helps explain some.

Yes, spacing is different between the Victory 4x4 accessory mount and the one you are using. Mine worked out perfectly for centering between driver and passenger, but my guess is most people want the faceplate mounted more toward the driver or at least angled toward the driver.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
I was looking at reproducing the DMM on my own, but the Expedition Portals for 129 looks very good - like "I can't DIY it for that price" good. I'll probably make my own mounts for various devices, but this looks like a very stable base for them.

    Thanks. Ordered.

I mounted my old 102" whip from my old AMC SX/4 on my Tacoma . I sold my old CB with the car years ago but a friend of mine gave me a little radiooddity cb so I got around to mounting it. I'm going to get a shorter antenna for around town, this thing is almost 13ft tall.

I absolutely LOVE the full 102" whip antenna! Seventies man! :dancingbacon:

What type mount are you using on your left rear quarter panel for it?

For starters - Much Love on that retro look. The full antenna is amazing.
That angle where you have it bent forward has some history most people don't understand.

In the normal straight up position, the radio waves come out the sides of the antenna - so they radiate around you like an orb or more technically a doughnut. It gives you line of sight to the horizon in 360 degrees. About 2 to 6 miles of range.

But tipping it forward in the "Cloud Warmer" position means that when the signal shoots out of the sides of the antenna they shoot straight up to the sky and during the day the ionized atmosphere reflects it back down like a parabolic dish - so you can talk OVER the horizon. Gives you up to about 250 miles range - optimally.

So that tip forward isn't just to fit in the drive through, it it a performance tool.

Now all you need are fuzzy dice, some Cragar SS Mag Wheels and Good-Year PolyGlass Tires!

I've got some cash to kill (Birthday). I'm ordering a whip, spring, additional cabling and a rear mount for my 'Taco. I'm already running a Wilson 5000 mag mount antenna on top of my 'Taco with a Cobra LTD Classic... but I NEED a 102" whip. I'll just run them both (connecting to one or the other). I LIKE antennas. And I like nostalgia.

Lot's of tree's where I live. I'll need to use a tiedown freq too.

I used a mount off of Amazon. I had to cut up some plastic to make a bushing for the rear tailgate mount to keep it from striking the bracket. Just take the tailgate off and add a plastic bushing or two on the mounting stud on the left. The tailgate moves left and right anyway without striking either side, with the bushings it can't move close enough to strike the mount and it still has a little side to side play, plus the plastic is soft. I like the 102" whip, had it on both of my 83 eagles. This one will hit every bridge on the parkways in NYC, so I gotta keep it tucked. SWR showed 1.2 and 1.3 on 1 and 40, with it as it sits. No fuzzy dice yet, but I have an 8 ball suicide knob I can add from one of my old eagles as well.

Ah… our memories are going. Something didn’t sound quite right in “cassettes”. I had to look it up - “cartridges” was the correct term.

And that would be an “under-dash” 8-track player. I think mine was a Realistic.

    Cool info on the antenna.

I just ordered this mount from Amazon, in preparation for mounting the 102" whip and spring. Was going to get the Rego but it's a 2-4 week delay.

The mount will arrive tomorrow. Supposedly it's sturdy enough for a full sized whip. We shall see.

Not sure if I am going to need to shimmy the left side tailgate pivot point, to increase the gap for the mount. Currently it's .230" clearance.

I installed an anti-theft tailgate device previously, so it's a HUGE pain in the ass to remove the tailgate to shimmy with a plastic spacer, if it does prove to be necessary.
