I assume the 30 round mags in the previous post.

Full  at this point, between cnc and 3dp, we can make most anything these days and the knowledge is free.

All 30’s. We were under threat of actions being taken here but they were stopped. So far we are ok. The cat has been completely let out of the bag especially over the last few weeks I can’t really see these restrictions or band taking effect and places that have them will most likely be freed

The gun and accessory manufacturers thank you all for your service... They are the real winners from all the fear mongering.

All I can say is the push will soon be real and is coming in the form of US wide Legislation not state by state as it is now……. I’m not intending this to be fear mongering by any means just think outside the box that each gun you own needs parts to function.

I've been doing this a long time. Magazines are cheap and plentiful. You can't 3d print primers or powder.

Exactly, being self sufficient and prepared is one thing. Fear mongering is really non sense. I’m old enough to remember the bomb shelters in the sixties. Fear and stupidity is a very profitable industry. Got a buddy with thousands of rounds of ammunition, for what?

I remember when they said Obama was going to take everyone's guns, and all that happened is... people bought more guns. LGS had a picture of him as salesman of the year, lol.

I willfully admit I am guilty of panic purchases before. It doesn’t hurt to build a supply of mags, am, spare parts, and weapons. At the least I find it entertaining looking for deals. At this point though compare it to buying say canned food. Prices continue to go up on everything. A can of peas used to be $.28 a couple years ago and I’ve seen them for around $.80 a can or higher. These things last for years so if you buy at lower prices and build a supply a few years from now you can eat or shoot for prices that were much lower. This is still prepping. You are prepping supplies you’ll need or want to use to evade future prices.
I saw little value in owning any “tactical” type rifles until about 5 years ago when we had a bad experience camping and then we all know what happened in this country shortly after. I used to scoff at a guy I worked with who’d go buy surplus SKS’s for $85 with 500 rounds and ask why he’d ever want to waste money on that? Now those rifles are not only harder to find but I’ve seen just the rifles going for over $700. So who was smarter? Perhaps he just saw opportunities for cheap guns or perhaps he had a crystal ball idk. Either way, if I would have invested in those kinda purchases back then I would have been waaaaaay ahead today. Live and learn. Now zoom ahead to 2019 and my dumb ass gets into this at probably the worst time. Guns and ammo are stupidly more exspensive and in some cases much harder to find. I do what I can and get what I can when I can. If I buy stuff today at these prices then who knows with today’s environment things can flip like a dime and I may not be able to buy these items at all. So as @IPNPULZ suggests to stock up on items I see as simply a smart move to PREP yourself to ensure you still have availability to these things against the very real possibility of higher prices or having your right to purchase removed. To what degree you do this is obviously up to each persons desire Or availability of disposable funds.

If what you own today and you like it or enjoy using it regardless what it is. Then, to stock up on quantity of the item, or parts to keep it operational is a start move. I have seen many things I use disappear from the selves. A lot of times if I like something, I’ll go back and buy a few extras for future use. We don’t know what will be here tomorrow. Buy what makes sense to you.

The gun hysteria started long before Obama. I remember people concerned in '77-'81 during Carter. But it really took off in the early '90s. It was an easy sales pitch with all the school shooting escalating. I just acquired my last rifle. I finally found a decent lever action .357 with peep sights.

One of those is on my small list of stuff I’d still like to get. Which one did you find? I’d like to pair one with my .357 revolver.

For those of you who may not care for the gun talk I understand it’s not what I created this thread for and there are threads for that but for a lot of us they are part of our prepps either for food gathering or defense, hopefully never needed, so the discussion is warranted especially around the philosophy of building supplies. We will obviously get back to other topics.
As much as I dislike Amazon I hope some of you took advantage of some of the prime day deals on solar stuff and other items
