It takes a second or two for the stereo to realize its there. But it's worked every time for me.

    Center console organizer.
Also interested in the Captian’s question about integrating the surround cameras in this thing. Has anyone been able to integrate all the cameras and let us know what your thoughts?

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same question. Has anyone installed an Alpine Halo unit with the factory 360 / birds-eye camera system (multi-terrain monitor)? If so, does the Alpine head unit maintain factory camera functionality?...and how does it look on the new Alpine screen?

I have the 11” Alpine and all of the camera views are maintained. You can cycle through views with the OEM “view” button on the left of the steering wheel. The screen on the Alpine is higher resolution than the OEM screen which makes the low res cameras look a bit blocky because of the scaling.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Also, do you happen to know if the "AUTO" camera feature still works with the new Alpine unit (where if you slow down <5mph, the 360 camera view will automatically turn on)?

I believe the "Auto" button/selector appears in the bottom left of the factory screen whenever the 360 camera view is activated.

    That still works too.

You can also access all of the vehicle menus.

Thanks for posting this! It looks nearly identical to the stock camera views aside from the Green/Yellow/Red grid - That might bother me a little, but I read the Alpine unit lets you turn that off?

It didn’t bother me until you mentioned it. It’s called “Guide Mode” and you can turn it off, you just touch the screen while it is displaying either front/rear camera view and you can toggle it on/off.

So, I have to be honest. I am pretty disappointed in this head unit, mainly because of the Bluetooth functionality. I missed having the volume know, so I bought the alpine one which connects via BT. I also use the wireless android auto and am constantly having issues with it connecting, disconnecting, freezing and locking up.

It's the latest firmware I imagine) as when I downloaded the most recent firmware from Alpine's website and tried to install it, the HU said it was already installed.

I had the same question and trail grid pro responded to my question. It is possible. Here's what they said.

    Good morning,

You can retain use of the Anytime Backup Camera kit with the new unit. The production team will alter the harness to make that possible. Below are the instructions that you will need during the installation.

To get an Anytime Camera Kit working properly with a Maestro Alpine bundle, follow these steps:

    1. Cut a new piece of 18-22 gauge wire, approximately 20-24 inches long.

    2. Strip both ends of the wire and attach a t-tap connector to each end.

    3. Connect one side of the new wire to the orange wire from the Anytime Kit’s override harness.

    4. Connect the other side to the orange wire with a white stripe from the Alpine bundle harness.
This setup will restore full functionality of your Anytime Camera Kit when used with one of our Maestro Alpine bundles.
