Remind me to never move to the rust belt...

Either that, or sell the Taco before moving there. Is there anything built to survive the rust?

@Tacoma Mike I feel ya, yesterday am, was pulling the tarp off my boat when I fell into a big round hole from the stump grinder, (knew it was there, just forgot) went fishing all day with a buddy, sore as hell, then later in the day, fell again whilst putting shit in and out of the boat, banged my fake knee and landed on my hip. :annoyed: still was able to do these last nite.....

Went to the Plumas Sierra County Fair last night, food sure went up, double digit amounts.
Listened to a new artist from county next door, Caleb Montgomery. Give him a listen, none of the newer country music being put out. Closer to what you might hear traveling thru Wyoming or Montana.
Speed of Sound, Food Stamps Don’t Buy Flowers, etc. Enjoyed his band, pretty great performance.

The only time I really know what day it is , is when I have an appointment that day. Other than that it’s Saturday. Actually I know when the real weekends are cause I learned after I retired that the weekends are the times not to do things. Everything on the weekends is crazy and crowded from all the people who work trying to get everything done on the weekend. So we mostly stay home on the weekends and do stuff during the week. But still every day is Saturday when you’re retired. .

After retiring, took me a couple years to get over the weekend mentality. A trip to Oregon a year or two back, for campground reservations I planned those starting on a Monday or Tuesday, staying at some less popular campsite a day or two in advance, giving me time to travel. Bad thing about reservations is there is no wiggle room for checking out dispersed campsites or lingering too long in a town.
Must say though that unplanned camping can be great. One campground along the lower Rogue River had blackberries around one area of the CG. Talk about a great dessert, a little sugar, yum.

Ooof, I reckon you got your money's worth outta dem brakes. And then again outta dem tools to put it back right. Win - Win, AttaGrumpy

Sumbitch report, we're starting to understand each other. I've learned how to tailor his nanny state shtuff to what features I want to use, and turn off the stuff I don't. 3 trips outside Palmer thus far, 1 to Anchorage and 2 down the far end of Turnagain Arm, average MPG has crept up to 32.3. When I go back on shift Tuesday night, I'll reset the system, that will be the real test for my intended use and purpose. We shall see ...

... and I've figured out how to turn off his most annoying beeps.

I know people that moved to Oregon and when they did they acquired a "blackberries are weeds" mentality. I guess there are a lot of local people where blackberries grow that are sick and tired of fighting them as they spread. Of course I laugh at it because we pay for blackberries and feel privileged when they are available.

We planted two blackberry and a boysenberry this spring and they look like they are going to do well. Maybe I should invite the people from Oregon down to enjoy when they start to produce...

I had planted Boysenberries quite a few years ago, vines produce their second year, got rid of them because the snow would crush the vines over the winter so it was too hard to get any fruit, plus pulling out old vines which made it hard to get to any fruit the next summer. Berries of any kind can easily take over.
