I did it because I didn't want to open two doors. The door with the latches is the first door to open and that's the bigger door for me. The smaller door stays closed most of the time.

    We are digging our camper!

Anyone else having issues with the bed sliding out while navigating steep up hills?
I'm considering installing some sort of stop or peg that keeps the bed in the closed position while driving.

    Cheers

I haven't had that issue. Gonna have to rig up a little peg that can catch it

Scanning through this thread and saw this comment... I don't have the same camper as you, but this was my Scout last weekend. Mattress was tight against the rear wall, lol.

We always keep the bed extended so we don't have to make the bed. If we want more space then we will open the sleep platform at camp.
I'd reach out to Jay to see if he has any ideas.
    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply.
I've been working on a couple different ideas to solve the issue, but it's always nice to hear from folks who have already solved it. Although, it appears not many folks are having the problem. I'll check in with Jay...

    Cheers

I haven't had this problem, but when I picked mine up, the installer placed some plastic wrap between the two pieces so it wouldn't slide. I didn't order a mattress.

I picked up the camper this week. This thing is sweet. Super boxy but the space is amazing compared to my old Atlas.

All I have at the moment are some build photos. We should be camping this weekend and I'll get some more then.

I like your choice of flooring and siding. How much weight do you think they added to your build?

The floor was maybe 40-50 lbs and the wall panels were only 10 lbs for all 3. It's vinyl for the floor and then MDF panel on the walls.

Hi all, as my family is growing I’m considering selling my OVRLND camper topper. It’s been wonderful and we’ve really enjoyed it. This was bought in October of 2022 and not used a whole bunch, weekend trips mostly. It’s in great condition. Only minor fault was accidentally drilled through the side wall on passenger side when installing Molle panels but fixed it and it’s air tight and leak proof. The way I have it built out and how it will come is with 2 Molle panels on passenger side and a flip up table on passenger side as well, 1 Molle panel on driver side and 1 smaller Molle panel in the rear. It has a 3 inch bifolding mattress that will also be included. The add ons to the camper when bought are the rear barn doors with windows, 2” extra bedding height, black skins, flip up hatch on driver side with gas struts, sliding pass through window to get into cab of truck, maxxair Fan, solar hookup, rear brake light, OVS rear awning 6 foot, gas struts for camper top.

This is on a 2004 crew cab Tacoma. Probably weight around 350-400 pounds. I also have 2 benches with storage I will include.

If you’re interested let me know. I’m in Asheville, NC.

    Thanks!

How are people managing weight? With the payload capacity on the 3rd gen being so low, even though the camper itself is relatively lightweight I am somewhat concerned that when fully loaded I’ll be so far past the limit.

I'm currently using the deaver u402 stage 3 springs. I recently weighed my truck at a cat scale and it was more than I expected. She's a fatty.
I'm looking to upgrade to Archive Garage xd (1250-1750 extra lbs) springs. I started with ome Dakar hd, they didn't even come close to supporting the weight.
You could also get some airbags to help support the load.

super helpful. I’m running Deaver stage 2s now with King shocks, but yeah time will tell. Going to try and keep everything light but it adds up so fast.

Deaver U402s, Archive Garage hammer hangers with the cross-bracing tube, sumo springs on a u-bolt flip kit from archive garage, and archive garage 2.0 shock relocation.

I don't touch my sumo springs at ride height and I'm running stage 2 U402s.
