if there's less that 60000 km on that truck I'd leap at it. I paid 40 even after taxes for my 2010 sport. There's not a chance I'd be selling it for no 29500. That's a great deal buddy.

Beat me to it, mileage looks excellent. Take it.

Good luck with warranty issues as an american truck imported to canada is just another reason for the dealer to give you a hard time!

don't waste your money, the dealer makes them sound great until you need to use it. I have a friend who bought a tundra from the states and dealer jerked him around so bad over FACTORY warranty issues that he had to sell it, and then everybody nickle and dimed him so bad that he wound up losing a crap load of money just because it was an american truck. just letting you know because he always said he had only wished somebody would have told him. I have heard people say the dealer has to stand for the warranty but they don't, they can make an excuse for anything. Good Luck making the right decision.

Ask the dealer about whether or not the warranty is transferrable , go from there .

Thats what Im doing. Its being sold by GM so I got the VIN number and am going to toyota tomorrow. Still not set in stone, but right now I have 3 options Im considering
    1- buy this tacoma for $29 000
    2- Buy a SR5 DC LB non-TRD new for $34 000
    3- Buy a I4 access cab SR5 for $26 900
    -
Trying to weigh my options because I need an answer by monday

warranty is transferrable, factory warranty stays with the truck, but canadian dealers don't like it when canadians buy from the u.s. so they make it miserable as they can so you never do it again! When you really think about it, it is just common sense I guess. They want all your money. Reading your last post with the price of gasoline your best bet is the 4cyl. access cab, I have heard they are quite a bit better than the 4.0L v-6.

I truly wish you the best of luck with whatever choice you make, i'm sure you will be happy, but when I read U.S. truck I wanted to give you my 2 Cents just for my buddies sake, I hate to see anyone go through what he went through and the Better Business Bureau wouldn't even help him because of an international conflict of interest or something stupid like that.

This is just my 2 cents , but also consider whether you are going to use your truck for work as well when you decide on the short box vs long box .

Wont be a work truck at ALL. Girlfriend drives it to work in the day (we split the payments and its a 18-19 km drive round trip), then strickly pleasure. We took our civ-bomb to PEI and a few trips around NS this year, and still only put on 24 000kms. So basically will use it 24 000kms or less. Or ust normal use. Only thing I would be doing to it is a good undercoating and a bed extender. It already has the JBL sound system, upgraded mats, hard folding tonneau cover, and all the regular options it should have
