They are adding rate throughout the entire bump travel, which can be good or bad depending on what you desire and what the shocks are valved for.

If you’re blowing through bump travel on stuff around here, you need more compression valving to control the bigger hits.

There’s a lot LOT of good tech in these videos with Ian if you are more of a video watcher than a podcast listener. Gives a better visual of what I’m trying to articulate for desert go fast bombing type of terrain that we don’t have outside of the sand dunes either.

Made the coffee so strong this morning that my teeth itch. Freeckin supa charged! Bikes don’t stand a chance today…. Say what you will about $20 a pound coffee-if it makes my day better it’s worth it to me

Had anyone ordered from Trail Gear or Wheeler's?
    Is it legit?
Or is it someone selling parts out of his grandma's shed?

Edit: I'm just curious as to how they can have Assembled MT64'S for $200 less than unassembled ones everywhere else. (and w/out tophats)
When they never go on sale anywhere else.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Back in the day they were all separate companies but they all got bought up and are now a "family" of websites, Yes they're legit.

Trail Gear is the biggest aftermarket manufacturer of Toyota parts and completely legit. They’ve bought out a variety of smaller shops as the owners died, were ready to cash out, or retire. Longfield, Inchworm, Low Range, Wheelers, Allpro.

There were some hard feelings between Matt Messer and Marlin over the 6 shooter knuckles when Matt split off to start TG but that was all 20 years ago at this point.

    Trail Gear it is.
Finally pulled the plug on the MT64 fronts.
I would've assembled them but if there's a place that offers to do it, I'll pay the extra.
The clip settings for them was holding me back. I want to keep it 2" or less and this is what it shows for settings.OME_MT64_Front_Shock_Set_for_2nd_&_3rd_Gen_Tacoma_CLIP_SETTINGS.png
With full skids and sliders I went #4.
If I have to change it later, oh well.

Nice! Once my 6112s die I'm definitely going to get them. I look forward to seeing how you like them

With any luck they'll be here by the 6th and I can get them on for some Tigerton foolery.
Good spot to break them in.

Wanted to have them on by then but August came up quick.
If I can't get them on by then, I might sit this one out.

As of now I'm really liking the rears. Obviously time will tell but so far they have been performing quite well and I have been beating the snot out of them

    I don't venture out, often.
Where's the fun in going with a truck that rides the same as last time? Springs aren't holding things up very well.
Will be quicker to swap out with the swaybar already gone. I work better under a deadline.
(you did see stocks and blocks, correct?)

Bring um to Tigerton. There's enough experience to install them. Bring a jack and stands.

    That's certainly an option.
I bring enough tools to swap out an axle, on these ventures.
(If I had a spare axle to swap out, that is.) :D

Edit: I don't take them out of the bag anymore.
Deep well 19mm just happens to be on top.

This was interesting! When they say “unmetered spring force”, is that another way of saying fast rebound damping? I have the Dobs IMS for my 4runner, and have always noticed a hard unpleasant thud from the back when crawling over rocks and one side drops off sharply from a rock. It’s as if the spring is allowed to flick to full extension until the shock tops out and stops the extension with a big thud. I’ve always wondered about that, and the video seems to show the same thing happens on the Taco with IMS

This week during my colorado adventures, I definitely heard a few good thunks from the back as I dismounted rocks during “fully stuffed” rock crawling situations. It’s hard enough that it makes me want to check on those top bushings and frame mount pretty regularly. Nothing mashed up yet.

It seems like my earlier remark was taken out of context.

I have nothing against spending money on good things. I was just saying that I wouldn't call $20/lb affordable. That's probably more expensive than any coffee I've ever bought.

For comparison, I have no problem spending $50-100, or more on a good bottle of Tequila. But, I wouldn't necessarily call it "affordable." Worth it? Definitely.

I'm going to order some Arbuckle's soon. I just need to take a minute to choose a few flavors. In the meantime, I have some Gevalia Majestic roast here that's really good. I think this is probably my favorite coffee I've tried. Highly recommended!
