My first car was a typical bucket and some kid whacked the door pretty hard not paying attention. I glared over and the father yelled at me asking what my problem was. I said "your son just hit my car pretty hard with that door, sir". He replied it's only a kid and my car is a shitbox anyway. Yeah..told him as I inspected the door I'll be calling the cops if I find any damage and already had his plate number.

Blows my mind how quick some people decide what something is worth to someone else.

Hindsight that would have been momentarily satisfying, but makes me the same thing I'm giving him shit for

I remember once shimmying out of one of my old cars next to another old car..my fault, I parked close but the space was small. Made sure not to touch the other car. The older fellow was putting stuff in his trunk, noticed me, and thanked me for thinking that way. I told him it's still someone else's property no matter what value it holds.

I have have/had a couple sets of KO2s on my truck, and I absolutely love them. I have heard good things about Toyo tires, but I have never run them. If you have 17's, you can find load range C BFGs and other tires as well, which are lighter than E rated (I am stuck with E rated tires with 16" wheels).

Toyo OC AT3'S all day long. BFG's are the epitome of a Lienz Cossack.......they will betray you either on road in the rain or snow or off road with them falling apart. Take it from a fanboy of BFG for more than 18 years.....then i made the switch and never looked back.

I will pick a third option, the Cooper Discoverer ATs. I've had them in two sizes and in the LT version and have liked them a lot on all kinds of terrain, from the scrabble around SP mountain out West to the Class IVs around home. Not super heavy, not too noisy, long lasting and even wearing. Great wet performance.

I don't use them in the winter, as proper snow tires are an undeniable advantage in my area, but they have been fine in the occasional unexpected snow or late tire change-out. I also haven't taken them through any serious mud holes but they've been great in mud season on trails and even on Class IVs trucks don't normally tackle.

Currently running pizza cutters in the LT flavor (235/85/16). Like em a lot.

There's a longer but not much more informative LTR in my build thread (link in sig), and somewhere on the forum there's a ranger-type first responder of some sort who uses them on his wilderness duty vehicle. He's gone through several sets and his LTRs are what swayed me to try them.

For some reason I thought you had 17s, nevermind on load range C BFGs then.

But unlike some people on the forum, I am in the camp that the KO2's are great in all weather, I have excellent traction in the wet (rain and snow). Granted the only other tire I had on my truck was Discoverer AT3s when they first came out, and those were awful in the wet (even with a 4 cylinder). Though Cooper has changed those tires ALOT since I had them, and lots of people run them now and love them. So :notsure:. The only other tire I wanted to try before BFG came out with the KO3 is a General Grabber ATx, I also heard great things about those as well.

looks like the cooper discoverers are the cheapest plus a rebate so that always helps. plus i can get load range c which i feel like would be more comfortable. depending on how long the wait is i think i'm going to go with those
