Good morning everybody and thank you! The testing went well, I’m a newly minted Technician class ham radio operator. Hopefully in a week to 10 days I will have my FCC call sign and be on the air. The club also gave me a free shot at the next level license which I hadn’t studied for, I didn’t pass but did better than I expected scoring 60% on the test. I’m pretty sure I’ll start studying for that license pretty quick as that gives you more frequencies to play with.

They were also having a big Ham-fest yesterday, like a gun show but for ham radio equipment, so I hung out there for a while and talked with some of the local club members and tried to win a nice base station radio in a raffle but no luck.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good morning Rusty. Mowing or tinkering with the LTD today? Or is it time to get the wagon rolling?

    Good morning Blevin.

Two lawns yet to go at the garage, plus here at home - I'll probably ignore that one, advantages of living in the middle of nowhere.

The magnetism of 2 tons of vintage iron (the LTD) will probably have a powerful draw on me. :D

I need to really get under the thing and see just how bad things are under there.

The plan is to drive it around for the summer just for the heck of it *cough* just to test it out -- I do kind of want to do that with some confidence that nothing too important is going to fall off.
