Got the basics of my 12V aux block done. Once I get my house battery set up this fuse block will be powered by the lithium battery in the rear seat delete console. For now it’s running off the starter battery.

A set of diode dynamic fogs would look good on your truck!

While i dont disagree, :anonymous: i LOVE the old school rally car look of the excessively large and goofy fogs. Its my favorite part of the stock front end. Even though, I still kick myself for not getting an aluminum plate bumper years ago when they were much more readily available! :pout:

    thanks dude

Finally freshened up my 19 year old dash. It's not too fancy, but to "me" it's better than looking at the old grey center console I've had for years. Could definitely have made it cleaner, but I'm not that creative, I just kinda make things work for me.

And put on new fender edge trim. Tore the last one off. Also no more fender holes.

(THIS pic is sans edge trim that had gotten pulled off, and the fender holes). Yeh I won't win many beauty contest, but I'm not complaining.

    How it is now.

Pulled my cap off and got it flipped over for a DIY carpet headliner to continue the bed camping setup build. A lot more time and a pain than I was hoping for to make it look good, but seems to be working out. Now to put a new ESI bed rail seal on and flip it back over to finish the cab side/corners tonight after work.

Managed to take a break and take my wife to the drive in movies to see Twisters while the cap was off. Truck is perfect for it but I'd be lying if I said it didn't still make me miss my old subaru that I've always taken in the past hahaupload_2024-7-29_9-51-30.jpg

Ah no I'm over in New Hampshire. I probably would've left the cap on if it wasn't already coming off haha.

Finished sound deadening the back wall and “C” pillar. First layer was 100mil sound deadener. I went with Amazon brand after reading this independent test data showing that Amazon is more effective than name brands like Kilmat and Noico at a cheaper price:

    https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/resources/what-is-the-best-sound-deadening-material-independent-testing-data/

    IMG_4797.jpg

For the next layer I went with 157 mil CCF:

    IMG_4799.jpg

And the final layer is 1lb mass loaded vinyl:

    IMG_4801.jpg

First impressions, it is noticeably quieter in the back of the cab, but it makes the noise coming from the doors and firewall that much more noticeable. I used the microphone on my Apple Watch near the middle of the cab to measure 66dB at 55mph before, and after it jumped between 63 and 64dB. Decibels work on a logarithmic scale, so 3dB is a significant difference and I think it was worth it, but won’t completely be worth it until I do the doors.
