    I know you well..

Are the original tires out of tread or just rotted?

Yes it’s a smallmouth. I caught a walleye in the Merrimack a few years ago while I was trying for striped bass . This was at the confluence of the Merrimack and the Shawsheen Rivers. A good fight too

on the way to work, there is a person who waits in their car while their child is outside waiting for the bus. As traffic has to stop for the bus, as soon as the kid crosses the road, they pull right out in front of the line of waiting traffic. One day, I was at the front and when they tried, I pulled up. You would have thought I ran their kid over.

Not that you are wrong at all but its nice seeing kids excited about cars and not face down in an ipad for once.

I'm with Matt. I have a dent the size of Kansas in my steel plate bumper, and scratches and dents all over the place. I still don't want OTHER PEOPLE making them for me.

I always laugh because about once a year I come out to a parking lot to find new paint transfer from someone trying to park next to me (I park in the boonies anyway, why the F are people parking NEXT to me, when there are a million spots and I'm in the weeds anyway!?) - and no notes. Like someone thinks they got away with something. I guarantee you, my 5 second rattle can fix to my sliders that are steel bolted to steel pales in comparison to the body damage to your Honda Fit.

And honestly if someone DID leave a not or stuck around, I'd be likely to buy them a beer and say thanks but no thanks, thing's a dent hog. Don't worry about.

Jenkes (no way I spell this right) in providence is the same thing. My old coworker had a smart car when they moved to Providence. He'd have to work from home during snow because he couldn't get the car back up the hill in the snow

I just spent 3 days at Newport Folk Fest, and the irony of if it insane. People who are walking and come to a dead stop in the middle of a narrow pathway, and just start walking backwards without thinking "OH I'm in the middle of a massive crowd". Fort Adams is a fort, and as such, it was designed so that an influx of people couldn't happen quickly, and it was hard to get to in large order from the lane side....Now let's put a festival there

Then the irony of RI, the whole weekend of kindness and presence, and then you get on the road leaving Newport and it's f'in Mad Max up in this bit**. Like bro, you just spent 10 hours jamming out and virtue signaling acceptance, peace, and patience, but god forbid you get stuck behind someone going 44 in a 45 in the rain, that deserves a death sentence.

It's just annoying that people go to NFF and then check their attitude at the gates when they leave and go right back to being menaces to society.

The school bus stop and pickup and whatnot has become utter shenanigans. I am so happy i don't live near a school. Not because of the noise, but because of entitled parents like "OH I'm just parking here for about 20 minutes while I pick up my kid who is too precious to take the bus home!" - nah bro, this is my driveway, GTFO. The stories you see of entitlement in the school run are bananas.

Back to folk fest - a lot of kids there, it was cool! None I saw buried in ipads.

Joke aside, if I wasn't putting my tires through some shiz, I would be on 4 ply for the comfort and emm pee gees.

Yeah not trying to like, gatekeep "You don't wheel, you don't DESERVE these tires mer mer" but if given the option - lower cost up front, lighter to deal with, better ride - I'd at the very least be looking for C/6 ply, no way I'd look at E/10 ply. But also looking at the grandpa 4 ply tires too :D

That's just my 4 cents (adjusted for inflation, 10% service charge added to all bills)

Well, it finally happened... Running up 495 last week, headed to NH for a camping trip and one of the tires 'sploded. Tread completely gone, no warning, just gone. I got to a spot where it was safe-ish to swap the spare on (as safe as you can get on the side of 495), 45 minutes later and I was on my way. Got to the camp ground, found a tire shop and the next day had all 4 tires swapped out. The last photo was the tire behind the one that blew, it was definitely on its way out also.

It wasn't bad, but I feel like I got lucky. I was in the middle lane, doing 65-70 when it happened, felt the blowout and saw the tread peel off in the side view mirror. Fortunately, it was the passenger side and the tread peeling off pretty effectively slowed down traffic next to me so I was able to get over and off the road. If it was the driver side, I wouldn't have attempted the road-side tire change either. Damage to the trailer was fairly minimal also. Just chewed up the fender liner a bit and ripped part of the plastic trim.

That sucks. It seems like pretty much all trailer tires are time bombs. I think I have those same Trailer King tires on my boat trailer too.:eek:

The trailer is a 2018 and the tires were original. I debated swapping them before we dragged the trailer to Disney but there was a lot of tread left and they showed no signs of rot. They likely have 20-25k miles on them if I had to guess. I replaced them with Carlisle tires.

NFF thing sounds like a church parking lot where you see people cutting each other off to save a second after spending an hour in church haha..and the crowd thing, ugh. Airports are the worst..

One of my neighbors where I grew up would drive down the street to wait with her kid at the bus stop. This is a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space on the side of the paved road. Thing is, she would park right in the middle of the street at the end (as though she were just stopping to look before making a turn)..not on the side, no turn signal/hazards, nothing. I thought she was distracted and gave a little honk. She rolls down her window and waves me around. I pull up and ask if her car stalled or something, she arrogantly informs me she's waiting for the bus. I told her next time pull off the goddamn road, you ignorant bitch.
