*This unit is for 2016+ Tacomas with existing JBL soundsystem. Will require a 2020+ JBL amp.

 

Just to check you are not selling the amp with the radio?

 

Does the audio interface have a subwoofer level up/down feature?

I have the same just non-JBL and need a head unit with sub controls for my JL Audio system.

 

I do not think it would require the JBL amp. I changed the speakers in my 2020 Pro 3 years ago.
I kept the JBL head unit and threw out the POS JBL amp and speakers.
Replaced them with Infinity Kappa's and 1000 watts of Kenwood. Head unit plays just fine without the JBL amp.

Those JBL speakers are a joke. The magnets on the back are about the size of a nickel.

 

If you’re upgrading from the entune 2.0 to the new entune 3.0 unit, you need both the amp and head unit. The old entune 2.0 JBL amp does not have the Apple CarPlay option so it won’t work.
