    Hi all,

I recently got the Accutune Fox Performance bundle with the RXT leaf pack. Had it installed by my mechanic (possible error but he installed everything for $450 so I can’t complain too much). Truck rides great but I had him install the RXT on option 2 and the springs look a bit misaligned on the passenger side. Third leaf down looks to be a bit further back than the driver side. There is squeaking (not consistent) at low speed sometimes. Wondering if it’s worth me taking them off and readjusting or is this fine?

I think that 3rd leaf that comes with that pack is longer on one end which is meant to face forward as per the installation instructions. Looks like your mechanic put it in backwards on one side.

I'm no leaf spring engineer but I'm pretty sure it's longer in front to account for axle wrap. Can't say what will happen with one side shorter than the other though. Might make the axle want to go cockeyed a bit under accel, or chatter just on one side and not the other. Might do nothing noticeable. In either case I would personally spin it around to the correct orientation. Hopefully your mechanic will fix it free of charge since it was their mistake.

I think the biggest concern is if something happened to the leafs and you couldn't get warranty because of the installation error.

Thanks for the response, I was actually concerned he installed it backwards but I wasn't sure how to tell once the leafs were on. Aren't they locked in position with bolts going through them at specific points? Meaning the only way to misalign like this is to install it backwards?

Level 2 just means you pull the 3rd leaf out and insert the extra leaf in its place. Longer end to the front. There is a center pin that holds them together. Measure from that pin each way to see if the longer end is towards the front for the 3rd leaf from the top.

You wont see the center pin bc its under the bump stop. Just guesstimate.

Thanks that’s what I needed to understand.
