I'm gonna guess they saw misfire codes, replaced plugs, then gave up. I was told it has a "tick". Belt is original at 300k (or really old stock replacement since date is 99) and nothing has been done to it, all gaskets are original as far as I can tell and the filter is a Fram. It wasn't well cared for... doesn't really matter to me though, I just wanted a good block and rebuildable heads. Whole thing is getting torn to pieces and sent off for machine work. I bought a complete engine more to have the spare parts to mostly throw together my next engine, so I didn't have to take much more than injectors out of my current one. Ordering forged rods and pistons, gonna port the heads and lower intake then have a fresh three angle valve job done

It was easy to work with honestly - clamping it is weird, more so feels weird - but not difficult. I figure I'll run it awhile - but don't know how it will hold up; it let me at least route things for now and make it functional.
